Behold the face of evil; it wears no mask here.

This pilot died with such Valor and Courage.

I saw the images and I saw defiance in his face looking out at those MURDERING THUGS!!!!

My thoughts and prayers to the Father, Mother, and Family of this pilot - Your Son was a Hero - A True Hero!

May God bless his soul.

I have zero sympathy for ISIS, but I think you have to consider what airstrikes have done to them. Most of those pilots raining hellfire and death down upon ISIS casually fly back to base and relax. If they finally get their hands on a pilot he is not going to get any mercy. Did the pilots show any mercy? Rule one of getting shot down in this fight is don't get captured alive.

JT, is it really necessary to show these pictures of the hostages minutes before death? The stories themselves are sickening, the images certainly do NOT help. RIP ...... again.

It's time for the coalition leaders to pull their thumbs out of their arses and do something. Abe, stay away

...all of which, sadly, proves that there's no point trying to negotiate with amoral, homicidal psychopaths. But didn't we know this already? The more enemies that Daesh makes, the sooner they will be totally wiped out.

Infuriating.

The video is absolutely terrible. Just horrible.

There are reports that this took place 3rd of January, which explains why ISIS failed to produce proof of life of the pilot during the negotiations.

He was already dead.

The free people of the World have go after these Barbaric Senseless Idiots.

ISIS turning everyone against them.

Jordan may now execute the death-row inmates to retaliate.

The bombings occurred in a vacuum? One day Jordan just says 'Let's go bomb somebody'. What the airstrikes have done to them is their own damned fault. " casually fly back to base and relax", what would you have them do?

All of you saying 'Stay out of it', how far do you think it's appropriate to let ISIS go before you think action should be taken?

A scroll on Jordan TV said the pilot was killed on Jan. 3, raising questions over whether any of the hostage negotiations were sincere.

There is absolutely no question. There was never anything sincere about ISIS.

Japan today. The BBC and CNN and other news stations out of respect for the pilot, family, etc have decided not to show a single pic of the pilot caged due to his horrific murder. I would rather you showed a pic of the pilot as he was ,a proud, handsome pilot out of respect for him, his family , and just out of compassion. I don't need this.

And many people wanted to give these monsters the terrorist woman they sought. Ridiculous. You can't deal with them.

Execute that terrorist woman, execute all the guilty terrorists in jail, and then Jordan, Syria, Kurds, and any other brave soul in the Middle East, end IS.

Vulgar and offensive? That's reserved exclusively for our comments.

I want to see the pic. The world needs to see the pic. Not to aid ISIS propaganda but to turn your stomach till you demand for your government to go over there and end this.

From a guy who was on the US radio and who served in Iraq, the way to stop groups like ISIS is to fight like they do. Don't go and just grab people and hold them for ransom and kill them on videos, but let them know if they take hostages, you will not only go after them but go after their families. That is what motivates them, especially the whole "machismo" angle where they can't defend their family.

If you remember back during the supposed "torture" at Abu Gharib that involved such brutal methods of saying that they will be shot with bullets covered in pig grease; just start doing that. Don't give them the satisfaction of knowing that their remains will be treated with the respect they think they deserve.

Treat these savages like they treat others, and maybe they will learn. Also, if this had occured over a month ago, then the whole point of using the Japanese hostages as leverage probably means that they were lying all along and will continue to lie.

There is no word terrible enough that I can't think of to call the ISIS, they are pure evil. And I hope they will get whats coming to them. Eye for an eye

And people complain about me wanting to see al-Baghdadi as a talking head. Literally.

Can't believe that civilization can do this in this day and age. Absolutely horrific! Unfortunately, they turn me to my uncivilized state, wishing utter destruction of the ISIS.

Some people say that this hideous barbarity is some sort of recruiting tool. Anyone who was previously dumb enough to think that this bunch of doomed psychos are in any way related to true Islam and the path of righteousness must finally have had their eyes opened. Join IS, and it's a quick one way ticket to a pointless death, guaranteed. It's not Isamic and it's not a state, just a bunch of muderous amoral scum bags, hated by the entire world, and soon to be a miserable footnote of history, like the Khmer Rouge.

I would love to hear any suggestions about how to deal with IS besides violence.

Does anyone seriously believe they can be negotiated with? They'll show up at the UN to voice their rationale opinions? What would they accept other than complete destruction of western civilization? Wiping out Israel? They've executed men, women, and children in the most brutal ways. They've raped women and children.

You cannot negotiate with people who are criminally insane. You cannot fence them off. They won't change their beliefs or their goals. There's only one way to deal with them and Jordan just showed the world how when they executed the two terrorists.

The BBC and CNN and other news stations out of respect for the pilot, family, etc have decided not to show a single pic of the pilot caged due to his horrific murder.

The right decision in my opinion.

frontandcentre:

" Some people say that this hideous barbarity is some sort of recruiting tool. Anyone who was previously dumb enough to think that this bunch of doomed psychos are in any way related to true Islam and the path of righteousness must finally have had their eyes opened. "

The continued recruiting success of ISIS shows that this recruiting tool works, much as you would like to believe otherwise. And ISIS has the Shada on its flag, implements 100% Wahabi islamic law, is lead by an islamic scholar, and gives the population in conquered areas the choice to a) convert to Sunni islam or b) die....... how in the world do you cling to the claim that ISIS is "not related to islam"???

@Seven-per-cent Solution, As a military man and an ex- pilot, we know each and every time we climb in the pit, there is no guarantee that we will return. We know from past wars and history once a pilot is captured, he can expect no mercy not only from the enemy but the civilian population as well. We go through a real life scenario trainings called SEERS which prepares you to best of its abilities for what to expect and making the search, evade, excape and survive more possible.

Dear JT, I really like your coverage, but I agree with abe and gobshite that out of respect for the young pilot I really would prefer not to see him in the cage. If I want to se the video I'm sure it's out there. I also think showing such images makes JT a tool of or a medium for DAESH since one of their weapons is spreading terror and fear among all people. By visually showing their disgusting disrespect for life you act as a mouthpiece for their barbaric ways.

It's SERE, not SEERS by the way. So which branch/school did you go through?

Lt Muath Al-Kaseasbeh was an incredibly courageous man. I could not have held myself mentally together like he did. I really feel for his poor family especially his wife.

It has been reported that the Lt was most likely killed by ISIS while Jordan was negotiating with them for the possible prisoner release. Therefore the negotiations turned out to be a complete sham (no surprises from me). I hope the Japanese who said the government needed to negotiate with ISIS & do everything to get them (Kenji/Haruna) back also realise now how futile it is to try & negotiate with these scum bags.

Really sick and tired of these maniacs.
