There's kind of a quid pro quo thing goin' on here though. If you go to this CIA website, you agree to let the CIA track you from then on. (They are already through NSA's Echelon, so whattaya got to lose, right?)
hey USARonin, if at any time we need the CIA more is right now in Zimbabwe. See what you can do over there man! this Mugabe guy is destabilizing the whole region.
For the US or UK to do anything about Mugabe would prove a political death.
The best thing to do here is to somehow leverage the African Union. He has been going at it for a long time now and we are only hearing about it recently. We need to keep the press on him.
As a Christian, I have no choice to be pro-life in all respects, but I sometimes can't help wishing that someone would "recognise" Mugabe through a telescopic sight.
The only "recognition" of Mugabe is that he is recognised as a murdering dictator who should have been brought before the International Criminal Court alongside Saddam Hussein - and also that he should suffer the same fate as Hussein.
Botswana is keeping up regional pressure on Mugabe
At least someone's trying to do something. The West has almost zero influence in this matter, so until the AU adopts a firm stance against Mugabe this isn't going anywhere. On second thought even if all of Africa denounces Mugabe he wont budge.
USA ronin i think the US already has many moles in there already so it should not be too difficult to make it look like a heart attack or a plain old fashioned coup de etat.
Given that the western powers basically put this guy in power a few decades ago, now its time to send the guy a message that he can't replace a corrupt totalitarian dictatorship for another one.
he should have gone the Mandela/Walesa way a long time ago.

mugabe is the perfect example of being careful what you wish for. In the early days, leftists all over the world hailed him.
Just because someone doesn't sleep in your enemies' beds, doesn't mean he should be sleeping in yours.

i dont hear anything about a call for economic sanctions against Zimbabwe, apparently there must still be some under-the-table money to be made there.

Here's probably more than could possible want to know about Zimbabwe (all that's fit to be declassified anyway).

I'll see what I can do but we're gonna have to use a black hitter.
We don't need that "white folks killin' black folks" backlash that'll inevitably get out if we do otherwise.

Well I guess I won't be sending any text messages to Mugabe, then.
