and are these same sanctimonious republicans going to demand an investigation into George W's little escapade in Iraq where thousands upon thousands of innocents died???.... I didn't think so....

The 800-page report by the Republican-led Benghazi Committee found no wrongdoing by the former secretary of state

Instead the GOP-tea refuses to prevent 'no-fly' threats from buying assault weapons with no waiting?

Guns and ammo, no problem. Two years, seven million and an FBI clearance?

Not enough?

This is the political Party that wants to occupy the White House with a bigot on the hook for fraud to the tune of forty million?

Republicans to Clinton: Email investigations will go on

Because we have nothing else to run on.

Either way, it doesn't matter. Thankfully, there is light at the end of the tunnel. Comey at least called her out and confirmed for the record that she is a crook and a liar an indisputable and irrefutable fact from the final outcome of the investigation, so now it's up to the voters. Do you want a known labeled criminal to run the nation and pose a high security risk or not.

“So let’s get this straight: This is going to be an investigation of the decision that is an investigation of the emails that was part of the investigation of Benghazi,

Because a “comprehensive” investigation by the FBI of Clinton’s email practices had not bothered to consider her sworn testimony before Congress. Testimony that was odds with the conclusions reported by Comey.

And so another FBI investigation of Hillary Cinton criminality is underway. Comey will only apply the same insane logic he applied to gross negligence and espionage: that Hillary didn’t really know the situation, didn’t bother to check facts before speaking under oath, that she was an entirely incompetent Secretary of State. At the least it will force him to deliver another speech on what Hillary knew and didn’t know, and why she was so irresponsible that she can’t be held legally responsible. Hopefully before the election.

I have no idea what any of that means, but you sound pretty excited about it so good luck.

Just as one example, Hillary Clinton wasn’t “sophisticated enough” to know she was risking national security when she sent and received classified information, so it was impossible to make a criminal case against her, FBI Director James B. Comey told Congress on Thursday. In other words she is too ill-equipped to handle an email account, let alone run the entire country.

Some very interesting conspiracy theories flying around out there now. One that might prove true is how did Hillary's long time big wig elite friend and confidant, Sidney Blumenthal, gain acces to Top Secret NSA intelligence about Sudan? Then sent this info to Hillary on her unsecured server, which if hacked, would have given anyone with interest, top secret NSA intel.

Not bad, but work on shortening it. I know you invested a lot of time and emotion on a Clinton conviction and I want to help you. Retry and resubmit.

The thing that gets me is that, liberals are perfectly content to have crooks in their party, No matter how big the scandal. At least with conservatives, they will let everyone know their frustration, their resentment or opposition, liberals NO matter, what will stand behind any lying member of their party.

-10 ( +3 / -13 )

Then sent this info to Hillary on her unsecured server, which if hacked, would have given anyone with interest, top secret NSA intel.

There were over a hundred marked classified when they were sent and several written by her that contained information classified as “top secret": special access programs. Clinton wasn't supposed to be in contact with Blumenthal, at least that is what she promised at the confirmation hearings, but this time it would be State’s fault for not classifying this document and keeping it from release.

Donald J. Trump has already stated he would quit the job if he got it, where's the rub?

"Clinton" "Trump"

Who cares about these two criminals / clowns, it's going to be Honest Bernie Sanders vs Lyin' Ted Cruz in November, and Sanders will demolish Cruz.

-2 ( +1 / -3 )

At least with conservatives, they will let everyone know their frustration, their resentment or opposition,

As exemplified by Republican opposition to the criminal behavior of Richard Nixon, Oliver North, Elliott Abrams, and 'Scooter' Libby.

The 800-page report by the Republican-led Benghazi Committee found no wrongdoing by the former secretary of state

Well, they did find out that Hillary was exposing top secret intelligence information to unauthorized people - as per Comey. Next up is her perjury investigation for lying to Congress under oath. I hope the Congress hounds the lying incompetent crook every day until she is put in prison where she so rightly belongs. Of course she will probably be elected president anyway so they will just how to impeach her for lying under oath just like Bill.

In January 2016, Tom DeLay (R) said, "[The FBI is] ready to recommend an indictment, and they also say that if the attorney general does not indict, they're going public."

A short while later, Darrell Issa, another GOP Congressman, said, “I think the FBI director would like to indict both Huma and Hillary as we speak."

Some good names to remember, Issa and DeLay. You might want to discount their statements going forward.

Which one did a stretch in prison? The used car salesman or rat catcher?

0 ( +1 / -1 )

The cow has been milked. The only reason we are gong to hear more about this going forward is that the GOP has nothing else to talk about, and the media has to cover "something."

I found this Comey remark rather astounding:

"To be clear, this is not to suggest that in similar circumstances, a person who engaged in this activity would face no consequences. To the contrary, those individuals are often subject to security or administrative sanctions. But that is not what we are deciding now."

In other words, laws are only for the little people, and as Hillary is facing no sanctions whatsoever, it just furthers three narratives:

1) The Clintons are above the law; 2) The elites can get away with pretty much anything. 3) Major institutions can no longer be trusted to do the right thing.

It's all very corrosive to a society that depends so much on trust.

-4 ( +1 / -5 )

Abject failure and having nothing else to do never stopped them before, like the more than half dozen Benghazi hearings that cost millions. As long as they pay for it, and also repay the millions wasted on the hearings

I guess Repubs need a hobby. Like figuring out how email works. Hopefully the Republican party is gone by 2017 and the USA can start cleaning up its messes

make semi assault rifles illegal raise taxes, carbon taxes, and get a sales tax to pay down debt fire racist cops, and judges via national prosecutions or sanctions embrace the electric car go renewables start a national standard income

You're really, really desperate to make something out of this, aren't you? A while ago I daresay you were hoping it would be up to the courts to decide what happened to Hillary Clinton, now it's up to the voters, who will it be up to next if they don't really care about this as much as rabid conservative pundits would like them to? Historians? Archaeologists? God? Yes, don't worry, Hillary won't be charged by the FBI, she'll probably win the election and maybe even get re-elected, but God will fix her. Light at the end of the tunnel, indeed. Pfft.

Do you want a known labeled criminal to run the nation and pose a high security risk or not.

"A known labeled criminal?!" Is that some expression you've made up yourself? No one at the FBI said that. No one has the right to say anything like that about anyone who has not been charged, tried and convicted for a crime.

House GOP members are not interested to listens to Ryan who openly supporting Trump who criticizes all GOP members.

kabukideath: 1) The Clintons are above the law; 2) The elites can get away with pretty much anything. 3) Major institutions can no longer be trusted to do the right thing.

I could not agree with you more. The elites in American society are above the law. You could say they are "too big to jail." Comey basically said that Hillary is too unsophisticated to understand that she was doing something wrong. So he let her off as if ignorance of the law by a top government official is an excuse. Knowing those laws were part of her job. He said that she lacked intent while all the while dismissing her efforts to keep her communications out of the public records of her agency after repeated warnings that her private email system was against State Department policy. Is their any wonder why Americans do not have any faith in their government?

bass4funk: "Comey at least called her out and confirmed for the record that she is a crook and a liar an indisputable and irrefutable fact from the final outcome of the investigation"

So, despite the SEVENTH Republican panel on an issue finding her innocent FACTUALLY you say it is not true and instead claim a man's word is 'irrefutable and indisputable'? Classic!

In any case, no surprise they aren't letting it go -- I mean they certainly can't focus on their own chosen candidate for the presidency, after all! hahaha. Love watching the Republicans implode and engage even more in the behaviour that is completely destroying them. So funny!

smithinjapan: In any case, no surprise they aren't letting it go -- I mean they certainly can't focus on their own chosen candidate for the presidency

True, better to talk about anything but Trump. But the rule of law matters. Hillary has clearly broken the law and the justice system has failed. But with Hillary there is plenty of furtile ground to go after her on. Next up is her perjury to the Benghazi committee which uncovered her illegal private email system used to hide her government communications from the freedom of information act and government record keeping laws meant to ensure transparency in government. Comey also did not rule out that she may still be under investigation for her Clinton Foundation corruption. A so called charity in which just 10% of the hundreds of millions donated has gone their intended beneficiaries with the rest going to lining her families pockets and providing her with a cushy lifestyle. Every day Congress goes after the corrupt elite is a good day for democracy.

-3 ( +0 / -3 )

It is a complicated calculation. If Clinton had been indicted only for email offenses, Obama would likely have pardoned her from further prosecution. He could claim that a pardon was crucial to preserve the election process and therefore necessary for the good of the country. The political backlash would be tremendous, but that has never bothered the Obama administration. If Hillary even admits she was careless, the president gets dragged into it by knowingly emailing her classified information via her private email address.

If the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over expecting different results, then Republicans lost their minds chasing the Clintons down rabbit holes years ago

Each time they stupidly engage in naked and venal partisan witch-hunts against the Clintons, two things happen:

The Clinton's approval shoots up; and the Republicans fends off a primary from the more insane right.

So, I welcome their insanity. It has lead to Trump = A democratic President for the next 8 years. --> The Supreme Court for a generation. It also means the Senate is likely going Democratic, and even the House is in play, despite all the gerrymandering.

What dopes.

Moreover, the Republican Party must be destroyed.

1 ( +1 / -0 )

Can House GOP members decipher all documents better than FBI's IT experts? Even Ryan is trying to help Trump, Trump ignored Ryan as his funning mate.

-1 ( +0 / -1 )

The Clinton's approval shoots up

I think you are confusing Hillary with Bill. Hillary's approval ratings are nearing Trump levels these days. You are probably right about her being elected. And I will be supporting the Republicans efforts to impeach her too. I just hope she doesn't keel over from old age before then.

Moreover, the Republican Party must be destroyed.

Yes - and the Democrat party too.

Poll. Shows Hillary and Trump. In USA poll takers are not confused Hillary and Clinton. CBS, ABC, CNN, ABC, many more including Monkey. When poll tesult mention Hillary, no one is confused Hillary is Bill .

Just more perspective on how the GOP-tea is playing this game to waste money, time and respect for the dead.

The 2012 attacks in Benghazi have been investigated by seven different congressional committees, including the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs, the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, the House Committee on Armed Services, the House Committee on Foreign Affairs, the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, the House Committee on the Judiciary, and the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform. These committees, in addition to the independent Accountability Review Board, have issued eight reports on the attacks. These panels interviewed dozens of witnesses, reviewed tens of thousands of pages of documents, conducted multiple classified interviews and briefings, and held multiple public hearings. On May 8, 2014, the House of Representatives adopted H. Res. 567, Providing for the Establishment of the Select Committee on the Events Surrounding the 2012 Terrorist Attack in Benghazi, Libya.

Read it and weep. Two years, seven millin later. The Republicans.

In other words, laws are only for the little people, and as Hillary is facing no sanctions whatsoever, it just furthers three narratives:

1) The Clintons are above the law

No, that's not it.

Security/Administrative sanctions =! legal sanctions

He's saying that just because someone's deed doesn't rise to the level of legal sanctions (i.e. criminality) does not mean someone is free from security or administrative sanctions, for example from the person's place of work. That just because someone doesn't face legal consequences does not mean someone is free of other consequences.

In other words, Hillary Clinton may not have broken the law with her deed, but that doesn't mean the State Department where she worked cannot put security or administrative sanctions on her.

It's not about being above the law at all. It's about "no legal consequences" is not the same as "no consequences at all."

Seriously, the GOP has a pathologically sick and debilitating hatred for Clinton that is so pervasive as to compel them to give a one-fingered salute to the Federal Bureau of Investigation and forge ahead with their own (cough!) "investigation."

Pathetic and sad, this whole sordid spiral into madness that is the GOP.

I'm glad my grandmother, a staunch Republican to her dying day, didn't live to see her party devolve into this this ragtag band of dysfunctional misfits that still fancy themselves a legitimate voice for Americans.

WASHINGTON — Republicans signaled they’re not done with election-year investigations of Hillary Clinton

Based on history, they may never be done.

The summary presented below shows the purile intent and wasteful use of Government resources seemingly the 'GOP-tea' cancer that cannot be put into remission.

The 2012 Attacks In Benghazi Have Been Investigated By Seven Different Congressional Committees:

The Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs

The Senate Select Committee on Intelligence

The House Committee on Armed Services

The House Committee on Foreign Affairs

The House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence

The House Committee on the Judiciary

The House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform.

These committees, in addition to the independent Accountability Review Board, have issued eight reports on the attacks.

After some point, it seems American Voters will decide the Republican's witch hunt is too expensive. Please note: The list of investigations presented above does not include the FBI clearance and the Gowdy two year, seven million dollar puppet show.
