'The British government has said it would not pay a ransom.' Very wise decision there! Those people are very rude and arrogant and can't even be bothered to pay marina fees. I wouldn7t be surprised if they had made up this whole story. Since when do pirates contact the BBC?

'a distress signal was sent Oct 23' - I thought they said that the pirates came onboard at night whilst they were sleeping....so, how can they send a distress signal then? They must have asked the pirates nicely to allow them to do that before leaving the boat...lol.

Like being kidnapped at gunpoint by Somali pirates isn`t bad enough, now this. Someone thinks Britain is going to fork over cash for this couple, and it is not happening.

Maybe Britain can pay them in fish since it is fish they claim foreign vessels steal from them so they can't make a living.

I can see The Sun`s headline: Fish and Chips paid for Dips...

Maybe if the pirates had some oil to offer the Brits....

Of course they are fighting over them. These hostages are worth a couple of millions in ranson money, so gods noble warriors rush to be the proud owners.
