Russia, China seek greater international clout

Positive step in right direction at the right moment. BRIC should act now when people are busy discussing the global warming and US lead economies are frozen.

Brazil,Russia,China,India rise up more with 1st BRIC meet and via more economic unity and more rising consumption power.

US economy now needs to focus more on building on its strengths.

Some companies like microsoft,google,intel and many others in IT will get bigger,will boost NASDAQ.

Other Nasdaq companies need to explore more joint ventures worldwide or make more mergers in US, as consumption is USA is now 60 percent below its peak.

Even japan has been 75 percent, below its peak which happened in late 1980s,when developing BRIC nations very much less organised in economy.

Companies in Nasdaq have to more savvy globally to make more economic JVs with other companies outside USA. USA Obama administration need to get more active increasing currency circulations and building economic confidence.

For US economy to bloom further, there need to be more great inventive companies of future. The richest nation is still USA,so it needs to use it well, to expand more wealth building in USA and elsewhere.

Companies and US people need to watch over their nation's economic prosperity expansions plan with criticisms.

The USA need to reduce greed at top levels of Corporations. There is enough for all people in USA, but there is never enough for greedy corporate madoff like crooks.

To think Madoff was also once NASDAQ chairman ,speaks volume for US lack in ability to get honest people in top levels. Madoff escaped more scrutiny for years due to huge cash donations to GOP and Democrat party.

The US Obama administration has to fight a war against manipulations via bribes/cash donations of crooked top level people.

There is need for, rebuilding of new mindset of honesty and good values to prevail in USA at all levels,at Wall street and at Washington/White house.

The better USA gets,the better the other nations of the world get to be also.

rajakumar: Well said. However, can the world sustain everyone living as in the USA? Maybe. Prosperity is the best cure for all of us. I have been to Bombay (Mumbai) and have seen my brothers and sisters living in difficult situations. I have also seen the blight in many American cities. I also see Mexico being overrun with thugs. Russia has issues as well. China and freedom seems to be an oxymoron. The alienation of the North African immigrants in Europe. Africa and strong men. List goes on and on. BRIC should have a say as well as others. Maybe something like the USA's form of government and constitution for the world would work, for the world's resources are to be shared and distributed to all, not just to the West. We are our brothers keeper. Everyone matters and is important.

What are they planning? New and more innovative ways to further undermine the will of their people. More inventive ways to crush decent and guarantee that only their views are heard. When these regimes speak of world peace and individual prosperity we know what that means. That the peace will be kept on the basis of helicopter gunships, armored personnel carriers and the imprisonment of entrepreneurs whose plan clashes with the regime's agenda.

I posted this a few years ago - the PRC economy is on a roll, but there are others coming. Hopefully, no one runs into a "BRIC" wall.

I also posted a few years ago that the world will see one of the greatest horse races in the Asia-Pacific - it's gonna be one heckuva horse race.

OneForAll- Well said to you too. World resources should be shared and distributed to all,not just the the West, I agree.

Every one and every nation matters and are important,I agree too.

China and Russia if you want more money,do more to make North koreans richer ,more peaceful and better.

2 koreas was proxy war zone in 1950s,with UN/US support and with BRIC's China/Russia support.

Make 2 koreas more peacful ,BRIC nations . BRIC nations will get more clout and money with world blesssings,if they do this.

I would be more willing to see Russia coming ahead because their country holds certain virtues and ideals that can be shared and idealised with many other countries.

China on the other hand is so much more repressive to society and thinks government should enforce values and ideals on others instead of letting them decide for themselves. I can't see that type of mindset being accepted by other countries that believe in societal freedom.
