Course they do. The most surprising thing about that is that it's a piece of bait that has managed to hook more than one feckless poster on JT.

And so as Iraq, Libya, and Egypt have become beacons of democracy, next is Syria. Surely it will go just as smoothly.

Cut and run! When the world finds all the terrible weapons with "Made in Russia" stamped on it, the truth will come out, and it will say, "We needed to save the economy."

Not so much cut and run, because they're still supporting Assad. Apparently Russia doesn't see any of these rebel factions (and there are many) uniting enough to get a stable government set up after Assad is deposed. I have to say they're probably right. The modus operandi seems to be: Unite against a common foe, then when the foe is defeated, pick the next-worst foe in your coalition and unite against THEM. You end up with what's in Somalia.

The truth is out from the beginning. The joy, on the other hand, will happen not when the world will find terrible Russian weapons, because there is nothing special in selling weapons to Syria, especially prior to the conflict, when Syria was the best friend of "the world", but when the rebels will find the terrible Russian weapons, and as Fadamor said, will recreate Somalia with chemical weapons in hand.
