Russia says it hit 60 IS, Nusra targets in Syria

So, realistic number 30....

Most targets are in the west; only a portion are ISIS, who are still sitting pretty left untouched in the east. Though the real number seems to be significantly lower than 60. (Remember, just because governments say so doesn't automatically make it so.)

Moderate people protest, vote, go on hunger strikes, enter the political process or emigrate. Moderate people, by definition, don't take up arms against the police or army.

Like the Houthis

NATO knows that the Syrian government will eventually retake the northern areas and NATO wants to ensure that everything of value to the future Syrian society is destroyed so as to keep the region in turmoil and poverty.

People were complaining that NATO were not hitting the oil fields, including Donald Trump who says he would hit the oil fields. And Russia is hitting the cities too, which are also part of the infrastructure.

Well, of course! How do you expect the Syrian government to take control of the East, if they don´t get control over the areas in West around Damascust first?? You expect them to put the cart before the horse? Please look at a map.

I think you should keep that in mind before repeating White House talking points.

But that's not the issue. The issue is people's putting more emphasis on the ISIS part when that part is still only just a small part.

Oh yes, whether it's Democrats or Republicans. Mission accomplished.

I don´t even know what you are trying to say. Assad needs to control the areas in the East first, and that is where Al Nusra and other "vetted rebels" are. They are not different from ISIS, they only use different names. So what do you want Assad to do? Ignore the Jihadis close to his power base? Why?

Or have you bought in to the White House propaganda that says Al Nusra et al are democratic humanitarians who we should support?

Here, I'll make it easy for ya:

Naturally Russia, like everyone else, is in no hurry to tell us how many innocent men women and children it killed along the way.

If I hate anyone in this world, its the greedy people in our governments who think killing people is far preferable to ceding territory. I find it hard to back anyone in this conflict, save maybe the Kurds, whom the U.S. should have carved out a country for in northern Iraq when it had the chance.
