Hit 'em where it hurts, Putin!

Putin the sneaky Tyrant strikes again.

Only a fool would invest in Russia, where the government makes up the laws to carry out vendettas against those who fall out of favour with the crook Putin.

Looks like Russia's life-expectancy rate will jump back.

Putin the sneaky Tyrant strikes again.

Actually, Putin is enough smart by comparison to American President or EU authorities. Don't you think so? Only a complete idiot would impose economical sanctions, fueling trade wars and hurting business. As for McDonald ' s restaurants, they will be quickly replaced by cafes and restaurants of national cuisine. Dishes of Siberian kitchen, national dishes of Caucassus region, Middle Asian cuisine etc etc.

Only a fool imposes economical sanctions aiming political goals.

I didn't know Putin had a sense of humor...until now.

No fan of McDonald's in the least, but governments should not be allowed to play such blatant political tricks and still remain in the WTO. If Putin wants to sanction Western countries, call it what it is and do so. The same goes for China.

This article was pretty clear except for the part about halting imports of "Georgian wide" months before the war in 2008.

My overactive imagination corrected that as: wide mouth bass windows windex widows hides (animal skins)

I am sure the U.S will do just fine without selling its burgers to Russia.

Let the little people be little people.

Gazprom also has some problems in EU.

So business as usual.

Russia targets McDonald's in expanding East-West trade war

Putin has declared war against all the fat Russians!

Hahaha, this is what they're resorting to...... A government left to resort to targeting McD's........... Pathetic......

C'mon man, do better than that lame comeback. Don't be petty - aim higher!

Moscow’s Kommersant business daily suggested that the authorities had no immediate complaints against Burger King because the Russian operations of the number two US fast food chain is nearly half-owned by the investment arm of the state bank VTB.

But of course!

Everything Russia does seems to be petty or to make Russia look powerful. Russia's GDP is only around $2 trillion, so it doesn't have the proverbial weight that the NATO nations do. I just hope this nonsense (war and sanctions) end soon.
