Russia invades Georgia and the world "responds" with very visible, measurable, and understandable reactions. The world's major players are speaking and are ready to actually "do something" about Russias agressiveness. In contrast, the World remained absolutely silent when the USA invaded Iraq ! Plain as the nose on the boobug's face, the world absolutely agreed with Bush, and I'll bet you a ruble or two Bush has known this from day one. Sad bit of commentary for all you Bush haters.

Because unlike recent American (and friends) adventures, Russia has a rather legitimate reason for what it has done in Georgia. What happened in Afghanistan and Iraq would be like Russia invading Iceland in response to Georgia's attack of S Ossetia. The countries that criticize Russia are in absolutely no position to do so.

So, I finally see how Sabi works. It was Ok Russia invaded Afghanistan for whatever reason. The US enters the Afghanistan to fight the people who took over a country and assisted in attacking America. Sure going into Iraq was a mistake if you look at it as a country only, but many non-Muslims supported the idea of finally standing up to Muslim aggresion. But, still, I know how much your hatred is for a many certain kind, but never thought you would have been a supporter of the Taliban.

Sabi-wabi makes it very clear for all of us to see. America (&friends) had no legitimate grounds to go into Afghanistan (when was that again) and Iraq. But Russia was justified in invading Georgia . . . Uhh, no, it still isn't clear to me, sorry. What made it OK for Russia to roll its tanks and troops into Georgia and in spite of promises to withdraw did not do so? I am confused.

I can honestly say I do not give one fig newton of support for either Russia or Georgia. To heck with them both. The overwhelming concern here is for the people of S. Ossetia to be able to choose for themselves.

The majority want to be part of Russia. Most of those even hold Russian passports! The only reason S. Ossetia went to Georgia was geography. To heck with geography too. Those people have a right to choose their future and their affiliations. I am not impressed with the land greediness of Georgia or Russia, and that is about the only true interest either of them have. And I am not impressed with people taking one of those two sides either. Only the desires of the people of S. Ossetia matter, clearly.

Unfortunately the Russians don't even realize that or that would be all they say rather than this tough talk. They should can it and start talking about the rights of self-government.

Yeah, let's not forget about how the steel for the turbines are made. A strong breeze wafts through the steel works and forges steel, right? No. I think Western Europe is going to be very dependent upon fossil fuels for the far future. That puts Russia in the driver's seat and the pansy leadership of Western Europe in diapers or worse.

It should be done long ago and it was wrong totally wrong that Putin has allowed this in 2001!! The presents of Nato troops in Afghanistan has nothing to do with anti terror.In fact they are used to infiltrating into those former soviet 'stan' in central to acquire of oil and natural gas! The Georgia was an example like Ukraine it was run by a puppet regieme backed by 'orange' revolutions; a covert operation. It was stab in the back on Russia!
