It would probably do more than that. There was a guy in the Seattle area not long ago who -with the farmer's permission- put himself on the receiving end. And died from the experience.

There are times I wish I didn't read the news.

How is a man arrested for "buggery" in the US? The US does not have any term "buggery" in the judicial system. I think the article should be reworded to fit the situation more accurately. It happened in the US, not the UK.
