Am I alone in wondering about the mechanics of this? Size, position, etc?
Yes, the rest of us put "man on mare" in a search enginge and got our answer! Size? Medium to large bucket! Position? Standing, both feet on the bucket!
Maybe an ideal punishment would be to turn the tables and let a horse have a go at him; that would bring tears to his eyes.
It would probably do more than that. There was a guy in the Seattle area not long ago who -with the farmer's permission- put himself on the receiving end. And died from the experience.
I couldn't understand the article first. I thought horse has another meaning like girl. I've never haerd like the news. I'm very suprised. why he did that? I can't figure him out. maybe nodady..
Is it kind of cruety to animals??
anyway he is stupid.
How is a man arrested for "buggery" in the US?
The US does not have any term "buggery" in the judicial system. I think the article should be reworded to fit the situation more accurately. It happened in the US, not the UK.

there was the joke about a guy in the French Foreign Legion that ends "oh my, but we usually just ride the camel to the brothel in town."
Very strange what some people get up to.

WhiteHawk, maybe he was the Boeing guy I mentioned before. Pretty disturbing any way you slice it
WhiteHawk at 08:33 AM JST - 7th November
usaexpat, that's certainly possible, since Boeing is based in Seattle.
And my apologies for overlooking your earlier post.
