Have you never been married ? :)

Religion and state should be separated, the only thing of main concern for any governing of a country is the economy and human rights, education etc, no religion should even come near government..

Hope all those Muslim countries follow the real words of Muhamad and Allah. Good move, brao to the King. With out woman there is no man. Including the King. Woman should be treated equal to man. Or Man should be treated equal to woman. I suggest all Muslim man also should wear Parda. Let them experiance the hot and humid in that dark dress. ha ha ha ha...

Middle East & Islam is nothing but a load of medieval & insecure nut cases. My calendar says 2011 I am sure they live somewhere between 675 ~ 1149 A.D .

It is a slippery slope, though - next thing, they'll be wanting fuzzy dice and be hanging out with Manny, Moe and Jack. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iwN6aQN82GY

the whole hiding women away in houses and behind clothes and restricting their freedom is just male insecurity allowed to manifest itself in laws. these guys need some lessons in relationships, jealously and possibly dress sense, my rates are very reasonable. call me guys!

why do some cultures have such fear of women? they go to the extreme of creating a judiciary system with specially made rules and punishment for women (e.g. car driving = lashing). hope there's a women's spring revolution.

Saudi king revokes woman driver's lashing sentence

But not the ban. The process of becoming a human is very slow. But one day they might taste it and might even be happier. Also even if there is such a ban 10 lashes are too much, inhuman.

I'm a big fan of nature and living creatures, animals and have never seen more ferocious creatures than humans. The top killer on planet earth and the most cruel of all living creatures in the world.

10 lashes??????????? Even 5 can cleave flesh. Damned, insane monsters. Good at leas the king has has common sense and is humane.

I'm glad the King revoked the 10 lashings by whip. I hope she will be able to get a driver's license someday. In the meantime, I hope she doesn't drive because she may cause an accident resulting in a whiplash injury.

I take offense at the home, pregnant and barefoot comment-what the hell has that got to do with the price of eggs. Catch a flamin' train like most Japanese women!! And anglootaku thinks she knows it all with a comment about human rights and education. Youve no idea. Seriously.

    Mr. Bill

And the onlookers got their way...and they still were not happy. What a surprise!

Ever notice how every country is backward in some way but your own? Yeah, I am sure the Saudis read this site and snort "backward".

Saudi Arabia has taken another step forward. Be patient people.

A long and very slow process. In another 10 years will another step be taken?

You see, these Muslims are not all that bad, she will not be lashed in public for...driving a car which now is only allowed for men in that backwards country, not too sure if I should laugh or cry, but thank god I was not born a poor slave woman there in Saudi.

In Saudi Arabia the women were lashed because of driving a car... in other countries we just wait for an accident for humiliate them in internet... and sometimes the humiliation is worse than the lashing...

"At home, pregnant, and barefoot." This cliche is so old and fits the rich dictator's country's philosophy from ancient times. The old man is making a change now, otherwise the males in control will lose their power. However, nobody has the right to tell them (another group) what they should do when it comes to women's rights. Stay out of the country if you don't like the laws. Stay out of the country if your GPS can't tell you where the border is between Iraq and Iran. USA tax payers do not want to pay for all the legal expenses incurred by USA citizens in foreign countries. The point is the USA Civil War was fought for "states' rights" and not for some government tell another government what is right or wrong. Come home America.
