So the Saudis pump more oil, are the speculators going to be ruled in or are they going to be able to continue their inflated investing that eats the hell out of my wallet?

It's going to take both actions. Not just more oil. < :-)

Facing strong U.S. pressure and global dismay over oil prices

Since when do the Saudis need to bow to US presure. I think its more like in the interest of world consumers. If Saudi turned off the tap who is going to suffer the most. By the way Saudi is a large US goods consumer. Where do you think all them SUV's are being sold. Granted Toyota is the number 1 selling brand but GM is definitely second.

And yet not one day later and prices are still going up even on output increases. So you cant blame Saudi for shorting the market. Here's a novel Idea why not use some of that oil in Iraq, how about using the billions Iraq has in oil profits to pay for their own reconstruction, Oh and why not stop calling every oil producing nation an axis of evil. That might just increase the flow.

    "supply is not the problem"

It's true that the Saudis are pumping a load of oil out of there on a daily basis. Perhaps the problem is the Chinese and the Indians with their recent thirst for oil. But then if they weren't gobbling up so much oil, they wouldn't be able to make all this stuff we buy from them...
