Thanks, Arnie, for being the voice of common sense, not to mention genuine maverick and all around great governor!

Arnold is absolutely correct and the media should also stop reporting on the mudslinging and stop digging into the candidates' pasts. Next, they'll find that one of the candidates read Playboy 35 years ago.

Some of the mudslinging winds up being some pretty interesting stuff. Like John McCain getting the POW records in the Pentagon design ated as secret.
Now even POWs can't get into their own files. < :-)

Perhaps Arnie should spend less time on the Presidential race and more time knocking heads together in the California legislature.
Has anyone noticed the first states begging for federal (i.e. other state's taxpayer's) money? California, Massachusettes, Michigan, possibly New York.
What do these states have in common politically? Anyone? Anyone?

The issues are painful to look at; we are in a difficult time in history. We are destroying the world, our bodies and our bank accounts. The California governor is looking for a mega loan to pay California's bill, hoping that Christmas sales etc. will allow him to repay the loan. The system we and much of the world trusted in is not stable and has a difficult future. Some call it a perfect storm or a crisis. Others call it a great opportunity.
One solution the candidates and the media are afraid to bring up is turning to creating a retirement lifestyle where all our needs are grown in our communities. It worked for thousands of years until we got too smart for our own good. We could solve the world problems of pollution, energy crisis, diseases, wars, immigration and social securities at the same time. The alternative is trying to work 40 - 60 years and retire. Somewhere in the middle there you raise children and try to save enough for their education as the prices rise. Is anyone having trouble with this decision? It will work quickly. We could be fully independent and free probably within five years.

Well said Arnold. The great american soap opera should now come to a close.

why get back to the real issues? No one is concerned about issues. We have chosen who we want to win and all we really want to hear is them speak...
Besides, how can you put a priority listing on important issues?
Neither of the candidates are truly concerned about issues, they only want to get elected.. Like an actor not really caring about his role, he wants the status.

They all fell prey to the financial crisis that was caused by the Democrats.

Actually, I was thinking rampant, unrestricted social programs coupled with open borders and sanctuary cities. Remember, "welfare state + open borders = bankruptcy".
Unfortunately, these states that have followed the proven path to ruin will get cheap money from the taxpayers of all other states via the federal government.

Loki520 - "They all fell prey to the financial crisis that was caused by the Democrats."
