Its already quite obvious that Dorian Johnson is a liar , I am sure the police is not golden here but lying and rioting helps nobody and just creates more resentment towards the black community.

Like killing another unarmed Black male won't cause resentment towards the Police community!

4 ( +8 / -4 )

no it will not cause more resentment to the police community more than there already is, seems like black communities love rioting and looting and that is a real bad way to try and get your point across. How about following the correct process instead of fabricating lies , maybe then you can get any real results ?

I wasn't aware you knew what the black community loved to do. Well if that's the case you can help them solve all their problems since you know them so well.

Who is lying? And how do you know that again?

10 ( +13 / -3 )

It's kind of hard for any community to have trust in a system or process that has been proven to have historically discriminated against that group.

Research has shown that African Americans are given harsher punishments compared to Whites with similar circumstances in the Judicial system. Recent research showed the same thing happens in the Education system too.

Not to mention, the cases of judges connected to prison corporations specifically targeting minorities to be sentenced long term for profits.

Dorian Johnson told television station KMOV that he and Brown had been walking when an officer confronted them, drew a weapon and shot. Johnson said that Brown put his hands in the air and started to get down, but the officer kept shooting.

This can't be right... I thought he was shot while in a police car? Someone is lying, and lying badly. Whether or not it's the police officer or this guy will be easy enough to prove once more info comes out.

2 ( +3 / -1 )

A young man with a future, a start at college has been shot and killed. Why does any racial adjective here have to be used? A young man with a future has been shot and killed. He was 18. He was shot by a police officer. He was not tried in a court of law. A young man will not have a future and his family and friends have lost him. He is dead. I will not add a race to rationalize or detract from the fact that an 18 year old young man has been shot and killed by someone hired to keep the community secure and safe.

"Ferguson’s median household income is $37,517, less than the Missouri average of $47,333."

Why do I need to know the median household income of the people of this town?

An 18 year old young man was shot and killed by police.

Police shot and killed an 18 year old young man.

2 ( +4 / -2 )

silvafan - as the other poster specified, and police report and witnesses stated , the victim was shot inside the police car while : Dorian Johnson told television station KMOV that he and Brown had been walking when an officer confronted them, drew a weapon and shot. Johnson said that Brown put his hands in the air and started to get down, but the officer kept shooting. So yes there is a lie already. Everybody knows that is what those communities love to do, show me a single time they were not rioting , and show me any other rioting community?

-11 ( +2 / -13 )

Notice that, despite the media and the communities rabid desire for this to be about yet another evil 'racist white man' killing young blacks, there has been no mention of the race of the police officer that shot the teen? From what I hear, the police officer himself was black.

Any excuse for some of the ignorant masses to riot and loot.

-5 ( +1 / -6 )

Given the ubiquity of mobile phones with cameras there is bound to be a video of the "shooting" turn up before long. The truth must surface.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

@Alex Einz

Everybody knows that is what those communities love to do, show me a single time they were not rioting , and show me any other rioting community?

Sure,

1) Just recently, Eric Garner and Trayvon Martin..............

Notice the pattern, unarmed Black men killed by police or police wannabes. African Americans have historically rioted because of horrible injustices against their community

2) Read the page carefully. If you count you will notice that Whites have rioted more in the US than other group. Their reasons have been more about jealousy and pure hatred of other groups usually minorities with more horrific consequences.

African Americans rioting is a more recent phenomena.

Now answer my questions:

Who is everybody? Or do you mean you?

Try became informed about the story.

Why would the community need to think it is about 'racist White man'? There were witnesses including Dorian Johnson? The community should already know the police officer's ethnicity because of the witnesses.

That police force only has 3 Black police officers. If it is one of the Black police officers then it would be easy for them to be identified putting their family in danger.

2 ( +3 / -1 )

Why does the US give money away to Israel and Iraq, while the inner cities crumble. Send the jobs to china or so e other third world where slave labor is the norm. Corporations are destroying the fabric of society.

2 ( +3 / -1 )

Who says that Black police officers cannot be racist against Blacks, or more suspicious of Blacks? Or even say, just more suspicious of Blacks in a certain part of town who dress a certain way? Ferguson is a town that is 3/4 Black.

Somehow I think race is not the real issue here. I think people have let some bad apples blind them to seeing all the good apples. And I think this young man paid the price for it.

Police shot and killed an 18 year old young man.

Keep in mind until we know the full story the officer may have acted justly. 8 shots is to many but we don't know the facts yet. That and the adrenalin pumping suggest some loss of control.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

If Police officer made 8 shots, he must've been on a rage. Police disproportionately targets blacks and other minorities and the poor across all racial demographics. But massive incarceration, a depressed economy, and the widespread violence is something that should give all of us pause. Everybody knows that black men are sent to state prisons much higher the rate of white men.

Piaget Crenshaw, 19, said she was waiting for a ride to work when she saw a police officer attempting to place Brown in the squad car.

She then said she saw the teen, hands in the air, attempt to flee. Several shots hit Brown as he ran, Crenshaw said. She complied with a request that she give photos of the scene to authorities.

Why does the US give money away to Israel and Iraq, while the inner cities crumble. Send the jobs to china or so e other third world where slave labor is the norm. Corporations are destroying the fabric of society.

I really hate when people say that. Israel is an ally we have a moral obligation to help and back our allies wherever they are, trying to maintain and support the safety and security of Iraq is another entirely different issue. The reason why the inner cities are crumbling is because of state and governmental mismanagement, there is enough money that is being pumped into these states and cities and what and how are they using their resources? Maybe if the US corporate tax rate wouldn't be the highest in the world, many companies wouldn't have to relocate to China or elsewhere else. Look at the Chicago inner cities, look at how much money is pumped at trying to maintain the inner cities and how is that working out? The president if he really wanted to, could interject or influence a lot of what is going on and he could take a more proactive role, but he doesn't. He doesn't care about Chicago or any of the Urban inner Black cities. The very people that supported him overwhelmingly namely the African American community have been lied to left in the cold by this guy that claims to bring people together and that we're on the right track and an end to racial inequality and what happens? The same thing that always happens when Obama touches it, it turns to crap. All talk and Zero action or action when it's far too late

Seems you are wrong again!

Please stop lying or actually learn how business works! Companies don't move their headquarters to China, they move their manufacturing to China for the slave wages.

The US ranks number 35 in the world for taxes and corporate taxes is the lowest in 4 decades.

According to the Wall Street Journal’s recent study of Congressional Budget Office numbers, corporations are paying an effective rate of 12.1%, the lowest in at least 40 years.

The President has tried help all Americans not just African Americans, but since The Grand Obstructionist Party has blocked or filibustered over 500 bills while the President has been in office it's kind of hard to blame him.

That's not true at all! Companies don't move their headquarters to China, they move their manufacturing to China for the slave wages.

No wonder Congress has had the lowest approval rating in history!

Attempting to flee from arrest would be a pretty good reason to shoot him, so whats the rioting is for again? They are too illiterate to approach the authorities in the proper way and rather loot and riot ?

According to US law, simply fleeing from the police is not lawful justification to shoot a suspect.

You have already been proven wrong on every occasion on this thread, so now you are trying to insult people. Insults are sure sign you don't know what you are talking about!

Who are they again? Who is illiterate and need to approach the police?

4 ( +4 / -0 )

@Alex Einz

You said:

They are too illiterate to approach the authorities in the proper way and rather loot and riot ?

but you also said:

whats the rioting is for again?

LOL! The irony! You make no sense like that techno music.

1 ( +3 / -2 )

You should probably study reading first , yes it is not clear why they would have any reason to loot and riot other than boredom and laziness , busy people dont riot or loot. ( Loot as in they crash other people property just because they can , quite a justification to shoot them I reckon) If the family feels they have been wronged, there are lawyers who would love to have a go on the city police. I have not been proven wrong even once here btw, even the original statement still is correct.

-5 ( +0 / -5 )

@Alex Einz

LOL! You are trying your best not to be wrong; you just can't help it.

If you were as well read as you want us to believe then you wouldn't be proven so wrong on every post.

First, every statement you made have been proven wrong, and you could have found the answer if you just did a little research.

Second, you have called a whole group of people "illiterate" without truly understanding how to use the word correctly yourself.

Third, not to mention, you are typing statements like "Whats the rioting is for again?" Then calling that same group illiterate again.

This is the "irony" MetaPhile discussed earlier!

YOU SHOULD PROBABLY STUDY READING FIRST , yes it is not clear why they would have any reason to loot and

riot other than boredom and laziness , busy people dont riot or loot.

Lol! I will when you look up the word illiterate and irony.

I didn't know you could read minds because you are not reading anything else.

Actually, you have been proven wrong quite a few times relating to this article. Silva fan even gave you a link at the very beginning to prove you were wrong in regards to your original post. Did you read it?

You seemed to have totally ignored the responses given to your posts. I also noticed you never answered any questions directed at you. You seem to be unable to answer these questions relating to the article, but you profess to be correct.

I can understand how you believe you are correct when you ignore everything else happening around you.

Police officer shot a thief who was resisting arrest , not just walking nicely on the street - wrong? I dont think so.. Troublemakers and thugs riot and looting other private property - wrong ? dont think so.. If they feel like they want to resist government, they could riot the police station / courts / government buildings but they aint , so I am absolutely right to classify them as lazy , stuppid thugs idolizing an arrogant thief and using the opportunity to rob people unpunished. Where exactly am I wrong ?

-1 ( +0 / -1 )

"... Stuppid thugs...."

Classic.

By the way, Alex, who are "they"?
