I'm glad to hear that there's a public option in this proposed bill. < :-)

Not keeping up with the terminology, are we? The misleading label "public option" for the government-run plan has already been replaced... now it is the "competitive option".
George Orwell would love this...

After learning actually how much health insurance providers make, if I were them, I'd close once this option came into play. It won't be worth being in the biz any longer.

Good. The proposed reforms are rather meaningless without it.

The GOP is still working tirelessly to exclude 45-50 million Americans from having what they have - quality health insurance.
The GOP is going on and on about the cost of the Democrats package. If the GOP's decisions had not included invading Iraq, there would be enough money and lots left over to fund this insurance bill.
Sadly for Americans, the GOPhas let them down yet again.

"public option"
Chuck Schumer: "... the best way to reduce costs and increase competition in the health care industry"
Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! What private insurer can compete with a government-run program that doesn't have to make a profit?

Sarge, Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! What consumer can do anything about a private insurer that can do and charge whatever it likes?

And here I thought the Democrats had won all 3 houses and had the votes to do what they want? And still you blame the Reps? Bizarre.

"the GOP's decisions had not included invading Iraq, there would be enough money and lots left over to fund this insurance bill."
Another economically illiterate lefty.
