This 100 billion would mostly likely achieve nothing and the "donating" countries would have to borrow to pay for it. Wasted effort and money in the receiving countries and it just forces the donating countries to get more deeply indebted to the international banksters and finace criminals.

Also unclear is how the fund would be financed.

    Isn't it always?

Also unclear is how the fund would be financed. Many ideas have been tabled for filling its coffers - a tax on aviation and ship fuels, a global financial transaction fee, auctioning of carbon emissions allowances - but none have so far gained much traction.

Another source of tension is where the money will go: developing nations want more money for adapting to climate change rather than keeping emissions down.

Why would anyone want to pay $100 billion (USD ?) to solve a problem that hasn't been proven yet? I'm sure that 3rd world countries would love to get the money regardless of the reason but 1st world countries are 1) in a recession and 2) China and India won't participate. Why take on such a large financial burden for no apparent reason?

    Deplore

How can our democratically elected politicians ask us to accept higher taxes and cuts to services, while at the same time agreeing to things like this?!? Do our politicians even pretend to represent us anymore?
