I am happy for Shanghai but sad for China, if only the Beijing communist regime could learn to be more international and civilized like Shanghai.

How many of them from Japan? Atleast 10%, my guess.

The Chinese should embrace the Shanghai idea. In their mad dash to become number one, they are destroying much of their natural resources, and as anyone who has been to a major city in China, or even minor ones, they are poluting themselves to death. Chinese polution has even shown up in Japan and Washington state in the US.
PS According to friends in China, there was a 6 hour wait at the Japanese pavilion even during the hight of the "crisis".

I'll bet there were more Japanese visitors than any other foreign ones if for no other reason than proximity.

Of the 72 million visitors 3.5 million were foreigners. That's 4.9%. By far not like the exaggeration that at least 10% would be Japanese ONLY.
