This was a family feud. There is nothing in Sikkhism that contributed to this. Go easy on the generalizations, please.

Sikkhism is a actually a noble religion with admirable teachings, unlike some other religions out there.

Ah yes, ban kirpans. Same brilliant logic as employed by the Japanese authorities. Ban camping knifes, ban scissors etc etc...

I am very sorry to hear this. These perpetrators obviously cannot see the wood for the trees. I think this is newsworthy just for the very rarity of the fact of Sikhs attacking each other, which just goes to show how viable a religion it is.

Generally agree but having lived in or near Vancouver most of my life, Air India Flight 182 and the fighting(a few people died) over eating at tables vs. sitting on the ground come to mind.
