Seventeen gangs are believed to operate in Acapulco, and some have links to two rival drug cartels, known as the Zetas and the Knights Templar.

Ok, since government is well aware of the situation, what actions they do? or they were all bought out?

Hope they enjoyed their moment and hope they get paid well by whoever ordered them in there, because on the face of it they will be spending a while behind bars.

I would still feel more comfortable with a trip to Guam than a trip to Ol' Mexico. It can be the wild west there sometimes.
