    Crap reporting.

Businessman Herman Cain, accused of sexually harassing four subordinates more than a decade ago, didn’t address the accusations which he has denied vigorously. But he acknowledged not being home enough during his career’s meteoric rise to the top of a national restaurant chain.

Repeat the smear and ignore what he really teared up about.

In a rare moment, Cain, who typically sticks to displays of humor and defiance on the campaign trail, choked up when talking about his wife, Gloria, and the struggle he faced with cancer.

When Cain received his diagnosis, he said, he told his wife "I can do this." She replied "WE can do this," he said of his wife of 42 years, who accompanied her husband to the forum for her first campaign appearance in Iowa this weekend.

Republicans are playing with fire here. This is plain crazy, and I have confidence that a solid majority of American voters will cast their ballot based on the candidate's competence and integrity. I can remember when U.S. politicians weren't expected to make such a spectacle of their religious beliefs.

Get ready for 4 more years of Obama and decline, lol.

    Relax, it's Iowa.

I can remember when Liberals used to believe in God and didn't hate people who do. I cannot understand the Left's intolerance for them. (Disclaimer: I am not Christian or religious). Religion is an important social issue the world over and shunning it is senseless.

Sad when being a mormon is a disqualifier for many in a political candidate. Religious fanatics.

Wolfpack@, dissolve the lines between separation of church and state, and you've got Saudia Arabia, Pakistan, Iran, etc. Would you like to be tried by a judge who owes his seat on the bench to his religious faith? Who orders your hand amputated because you shoplifted something out of Wal-Mart? Maybe this has something to do with what you're calling liberals' "intolerance."

@just-a-guy, if I am reading you correctly, I agree with you that this was a form of dinner theater.

Romney and Huntsman skipped this chance to publicly confess their failings. Maybe they don't have anything juicy enough to divulge for our inspection.

Just to be equal opportunity, if Obama went to something like this, he could talk about his struggles with nicotine addiction and the challenge he had leaving his church in Chicago. The evangelicals would love it, and would parade around with Obama on their shoulders just for mentioning such mundane personal shortcomings. Memo for future reference (attention: scriptwriters) in case the 2012 race gets tight.

The folks in much of the US seem so decadent a little amputation here and there might work wonders.
