Not that any murder really makes sense, but if this guy is wanting to make a run across the border - he was at San Diego and could have just walked across the border to Mexico at Tijuana and vanished. Don't see why he allegedly hauled up to Canada to hide up there.

Two reasons;

1) He made his money as a real estate developer in Calgary and his family lives in Canada.

2) Canada will block extradition if wherever he is to be returned to has the death penalty.

Wow that's pretty scary, I wonder if this guy is the "talented Mr. Rippley" As an aside if he really has a couple of million bucks and he's on the run it won't be to Canada, it will be to somewhere without extradition that he can dissapper.
