Springsteen has been a longtime supporter of worker’s rights, and Wal-Mart has faced criticism for its anti-union labor practices.

ideology, belief etc... sometimes perish in the air when money speaks.... Wal-Mart, just recently marketed two successful CD albums in the US/Canada.

    1) The EAGLES GREATEST HITS, selling several hundreds thousands in just one-week.

    2) The June-2008 REVELATION Album by JOURNEY, sold 110,000 in just 5 days ... now a certified platinum records of 1 million copies by the end of 2008

Wal-Mart should drop Springsteen like a hot potato.

Yabits - What makes you think Wal-Mart will soon be unionized?

I always thought the guy was a two-faced fraud. Dropped the ball? No, rather he picked up the bag of money. Another guy living in a mansion, mewing into the microphone about the plight of the working man. If he feels so guilty, Springsteen donate all of the Wal-Mart profits to charity.

I always thought the guy was a two-faced fraud.

Do you have anything to back that up? You know, besides this ONE thing, for which he has clearly admitted the mistake. The guy has criticized Wal-mart, pretty clearly. To be truly two-faced, I would expect him to point that out to us.

If he feels so guilty, Springsteen donate all of the Wal-Mart profits to charity.

Better yet, give it to groups trying to start unions at Wal-mart.

we it will continue to offer those fans this ‘Greatest Hits’ exclusive and his other popular albums at unbeatable prices

    via beatable employees.

Springsteen is doing the SuperBowl = "dropped the ball"

This ain't the eighties: music stores are a thing of the past = you have iTunes, Amazon.com and Walmart, Best Buy.

Do you see Walmart begging for a handout these days?

Springsteen should just shut up and sing.

Bruce sings about ideals because that is what he can sell. It is a bit precious of him to do this faux mea culpa when all it is designed to do is to increase sales.

Good comment Buddha. Then again, Bruce's concern for the common folk probably causes him to choke sometimes on his caviar.

Wal-Mart is the largest employer in the world.
