Did the guy just wake up one morning and decide he was going to go knifing this month?

“I’ll let God handle it. Every time I look at my scar, I get angry.”

That's about a million times more measured than my reaction would be.

The suspect approached black men late at night on lonely urban roads and asked for directions or help with a broken-down car. Then, without warning, he pulled out a knife and struck. Then, he sped away, leaving them for dead.

What a nice reward for offering to help someone eh? Why can't people like this at least attack people who are not so nice? Chickenheart with a knife, that is why.

Well you know what they say: "No good deed goes unpunished."

Interestingly, all the victems were black. There has been much speculation over the possible racial angle.

I thought the US deported criminals. Why didn't they take his green card and kick him out of the country.

"Yikes! I was just in Atlanta airport!"

I'm sure you would have subdued the dude if you'd actually met up with him.

Really? That's wasn't what I heard on the news yesterday. Or maybe I'm confusing 2 different cases? Anyway, thanks for the correction.

Because he's a serial killer! You don't imagine they'd just let him go, do you? Commiting a crime may get you deported, but it's usually after you've served your sentance, not before - unless the crimes are so minor that you aren't worth the trouble. Countries will commonly try to extradite serious criminals who flee the country, so that they can be brought to justice.

One has to ask how a traveler on an out of date Israeli passport got into the US, and managed to get clearance to leave it too? Great DHS work, no doubt! With allies like this, who needs terrorists? Oops, we got 'em!

If he had a US green card, his passport definitely would have been valid at the time he applied for it.

Did I miss something here? I reread this article yet another time and found no mention of an out-of-date Israeli passport, except here in the comment section. Was this info given in a different report?
