I wonder if they will be taught bad dialogues because he is also an expert at that!

Say what you want about Seagal, the one thing he can do with 100% factual certainty is that the man can fight and has been adviser to many celebs and police enforcement. The man has credentials and a couple of Black belts in other martial art forms. I met him a long time ago on the set of "Out for Justice" the guy is huge...well, not as chunky, but still tall and intimidating, I can scrap quite well and ain't no slouch, but I'm not stupid either. 6'6 and he really has that same ticked off look when you see him, so I give the guy props, yeah, his first 3 or 4 movies were good and then after "On Deadly Ground" came out that did it for me and his movies have been sucking ever since, but in the fight dept. My hat goes off to him.

I agree that he is an authority of self-defense, both armed and unarmed, civilian and law enforcement.
That said, I can't help but wonder if this course he taught was just a standard room clearing drill, or if any changes had been made to factor in children who, let's face it, are unlikely to act in the same way as adults and tend to be a bit more unpredictable.

I remember reading about Seagal getting a real arse kicking from his stuntman for being extremely arrogant. They should have called him instead.

This is sad. How long before some innocent visitor to a school, a parent with a complaint, or a confused deliveryman, gets a bullet in the head from some gun-freak who thinks he's finally got the chance to fulfil his greatest dream in life?

You should read the comments on Phoenix New Times about this story. They are merciless in ways not allowed here on JT--mostly involving Seagal's own shady past. Example: The last time Seagal was along for a ride with real police in Phoenix, he was filming a reality program. A man's house was raided, his dog was killed, and the segment was used without permission. Leading to a million dollar lawsuit. Nice going, "officer" Seagal.
How much deterrent does this armed posse have when it is common knowledge that posse members are not allowed onto school property? I guess they can try to take out snipers targeting schools from off campus, but what else are they good for?

That is another Urban legend, I heard that story as well years ago, but it was a few times debunked. Now it is true that the movie that he did with DMX, I think "Exit Wounds" if I recall he was hitting on DMX's girlfriend and there was a few words exchanged, but that was about it. DMX is NOT that stupid.

What could possibly go wrong?

This could only be a dumber idea if it were Chuck Norris instead.
Although I'm sure our resident "the government and the media are out to ruin my life" Republicans would be ecstatic at such a choice....

The guards will subsequently infiltrate the school system in the guise of unassuming cafeteria lunch-ladies.

Segall is an Aikido Master who trained in Japan & as rough & tumble as his films are,He is a Gentleman. At least he's doing something pro-active despite the governments ideas on protecting the public from gun toting maniacs! Some of our political "Leaders" would feel right at home in one of those pink prison jumpers!
