Here we go again! A very general statement from him, once again going from "never happened" to something benign and general, this time "Oh, I made a pass!". Last time it was, "Oh, it was consensual!"

Meanwhile the other side offers clear specifics and details such as wrestling, being grabbed, going for jeans, and having to kick and punch to get away. And she will be grilled until her story changes, because details never change if its a true story even if somebody grills you day after day. Riiiight!

Meanwile, DSK just repeats "I tried to kiss her, but she refused, so I did not persist". But nobody will ask him the same questions or the same number of questions that Banon will be asked such as what were you wearing? Where was your other hand? Were you wearing perfume? What brand? What time was it? And then what happened? And THEN what happened? Etc.

The only thing I know for sure is that DSK knows how to take advantage of psychology and the status quo.

Asagao, problem where is the proof? Being rich and powerful does not mean guilty. So she brings charges against him 8 years after the fact. Guess I hang out with too many Americans, there needs to be proof beyond a reasonable doubt. He has paid for being STUPID, losing his position of power and all hopes of political office. It should be left at such, this looks like political payback of some sort. Is he innocent, I doubt that he is innocent but there needs to be proof of guilt.

Could someone show me another case where nearly ten years after the alleged event, and without a shred of evidence, these kind of accusations were actually be taken seriously?

Bannon should be charged for wasting police time along with the procureur that ordered the investigation, who's no doubt a member of the champagne socialist gliteratti too.

DSK is ruined anyway so those that have decided he's guilty in their own personal tribunals can at least have that to be proud of.

What proof would you like?

Part of the problem with rape cases is that good proof is not recognized nor demanded sometimes. Their stories, told without hearing the other, for example. Those tell help give a clue who is full of it. Well in this case, that well is already tainted and the last one, we never got DSK's story.

So I ask you, what proof would you like? Because if a guy can just dismiss rape by claiming it was consensual, and dismiss attempted rape by saying it was just a pass, what proof could we ever have?

But what proof is there that she intentionally wasted police time? And that in itself will be a waste of taxpayer money! So congratulations on such a hypocritical statement!

Is 21 years too long? And what is the evidence against him? Mainly that he forgot to say "It was just a pass!". That's pretty much it, because we can be sure his DNA got on her if he tried to kiss her, just like his DNA got on the maid's uniform since he says it was consensual.

Hmmm....don't see anyone saying he is guilty in the Banon case.

But, what was said by the DSK side before this? They said her claims were "imaginary". Pretty strong characterization to now come out and say "Oh, it was a pass!" If innocent, why not say that in the first place?

However, in this case, I would certainly like to hear more. In the maid's case, I heard plenty. And what was the proof in the maid's case that tossed the case out? Her cred. That's it! I am afraid Banon might have better cred. I would think that would mean you would think he is guilty, so I am confused why you advocate those charges against Banon. You know something about her I don't?

Uhm, the case you cite used "evidence". DNA evidence found years alter through the national database.

Heh, no wonder you're having serious problems grasping the issue at hand.

Bannon has no evidence.

None.

She's only come out officially with these allegations since the maid incident in NYC, of which the charges against DSK were all dropped. Therefore he is officially innocent, something I know isn't helping your crusade against the man.

The proof is that she has no proof. And wasting police time here is a serious offence. And a finable offense so the tax-payer would benefit.

Oh come on ! If your car disappears, you cannot prove it has been stolen. But you will go to the police. Shall we consider it's wasting police time ? Then they find a guy driving your car, and he says : "But he gave it to me for my birthday, yesterday..". He can partially prove it : that was actually his birthday. You have no proof that you didn't give your car... Etc. Police's job is to find evidence, or at least try. Most victims cannot prove much. They still have a right to sue. Maybe the police fail at their mission with Banon. Whether Banon is a mythomane or DSK a rapist, they have to prove one option. But wait, they are still investigating. So far they found : 1. she is not a total mytho as he did try to kiss her, 2. he is liar since he previously declared nothing happened.

He admitted he was guilty. Trying to kiss would be considered "simple sexual assault" (something like that). This a crime to try to force a kiss on someone, but there is a prescription of I think 3 years. Anyway, the delay is past, so he can confess that. Trying to force sex on the person has a longer prescription delay.

It's a requirement for the insurance, so I don't get your point.

In France you take your plainte" to the Gendarmes and they pas it on to the proocureur, who *then makes the decision as to whether their is grounds for an investigation. She or he should have known better. The facts are and always will be her word against his. A big difference from the initial allegations in NYC.

He lost his job at the IMF, his presidential hopes have gone down the toilet like last nnight's Vindaloo came out this morning.....yeah, he's ruined. I imagine more ruined than you could ruin a poor man actually, since all powerful men want is more power.

The timing of her allegations is also, more than a little suspect. I have no doubt he tried it on and she told him to get lost, but if she was that incensed at the time she should have pressed charges immediately. It's a win-win for her on the grounds of the NYC accuations, which let's forget he was officialy found innocent of, but also getting her name in the spotlight. I don't believe a word of it, and yes, she should have charges pressed against her for the waste of police time over this rubbish. There are real rapists, amongst other criminals to collar.
