Maybe good for some passengers, they can fly other airlines and get better service!

With Australian unemployment at a 10-month high, they're going on strike?

The airline is greedy, record profits and they want more.

Let us support our UNION brothers and sisters! Never forget that all unions are ILLEGAL over in communist China!

If I was a baggage handler making about $18/hour with unemployment at a 10-month high I wouldn't go on strike.

Thats the problem, these workers keep demanding and demanding and then complain when they lose their jobs. What they have to remember is companies are in business to make money for shareholders. No money for shareholders no company = no job. There are plenty of people out there that will work for this money, so they are on between $16 and $24 per hour + overtime + yearly bonuses + cheap travel. And they are still complaining.

The biggest problem in Australia is the unions and the gullible workers who want more and more i.e. Toyota dispute. Australia can kiss goodbye to manufacturing as its becoming to expensive given the ridiculous wages demanded by these unions.

Spidapig24, the airline is making money ... if they were losing money you would be correct. I bet the ticket price would remain the same. The greed of these people is just amazing!

Yes Yuri the greed of the unions is unbelievable. It is typical of the greedy unions in Australia they push and push wage rises until it is unprofitable for the companies who then head OS. Seen it way to often in manufacturing. Just more of the same here

Spidapig24, well the management of Qantas is very greedy. Doing their maintenance in 3rd world countries, trying to farm out the pilots and crew to 3rd world countries. All of this to make more profit, watch and learn a air disaster is just around the bend for them. Cutting corners off of maintenance and crew is a sure way to disaster.
