Sunnis believe that Shia is not really true Islam; they tend to look down on Shiites.

There are these wolves wanting to exploit this latent discrimination. Confusion, blood and carnage is in their interest, I guess. Disgusting.

Recent reports put the death toll much higher.

All of these awfull deaths after Bush and Blairs illegal invasion. These stories make me cry. Why couldn`t we leave them in peace, why???

Iraqi Sunni and Iraqi Shia woes still not solved.

PM Malliki is shia, what he is doing to solve these, nothing but just watch, the feud. What else can he do?

Saddam was sunni, during his time ,he had to face much Shia rebels too, which he dealt with dictatorship force.

Iraq has a big complex history of politics of its own ,with many political divisions, which world media, will know more ,day by day.

Lets face it the surge failed. There is no political solution now after the US military bought off the Sunnis with millions of tax payer money. Its all unraveling now and will lead toward civil war and hundreds of thousands of more needless deaths.

Bombings like this were basically pioneered by Palestinians but were perfected, you could say, in Iraq. The phenomenon has since spread to Afghanistan and Pakistan, among other areas.

The liberation of Iraq was almost seven years ago. The war is over. Baathists lost.

Suicide bombers are not a result of the war but a permanent feature of the religion that the losing side clings to.

Islam strikes again, they hate Christians, Jews, Hindu, Buddhists, infidels, and most of all......... markets...

"Lets face it the surge failed"

That's not what Obama is saying now, so I guess you're wrong, eh, zurcronium? Let's face it, even Obama is right some of the time.

The scumbags responsible for brainwashing this woman into doing this need to be captured or killed.

How can a culture produce so much hatred and cold-blooded murder?

Females, carrying out suicide bombings, in which they murder innocent compatriots, and in the name of a religion whose two largest sects differ not on theological points (as far as I can tell) but over arguments about biological lineage to the founder of their cult.

This is politically motivated, but Muslim on Muslim, quest, the one thing you left out of your list above.

Islam is like one big family, IMHO, with a problem child who lives by selected magnified sections of the Qu'ran. Until the kid grows up, the family will suffer damage to their home, their well-being, their lives and their reputation. So, they keep on smiling and they keep their heads low for the inevitable criticism. In the meantime they wait patiently for the kid to grow up and mature.

"How can a culture produce so much hatred and cold-blooded murder?"

Uhm, I don't believe this was happening much before March 2003, though I know a fex still to prefer the Blikers and the fingers in the ears at this point.

Billed as a so called war to prevent religious extremists, I'll be damned if I can figure out why so much shrieking went in to invading and toppling the region's only secular leader.

Madverts. The use of female suicide bombers is fairly recent, but the savage slaughter in the area is much older. Look at the years of the Iran-Iraq war with the machine-guns jamming as they overheated, and the use of poison gas as it was considered more efficient. There was a kind of balanced madness for a while as the two armies ground each other down. Then Saddam sent in his army and invaded Kuwait, thinking no-one would bother to step in and push him out again.

Al-Qaida attacked the Wolrd Trade Center first in 1993, and used suicide bombers against the US embassies in Narobi and Dar es Salaam in 1998, way before 9/11.

Oh my. When my fellow Americans had the sense to elect Barack Obama and it was announced American troops would be departing I was absolutely certain that the carnage would cease.

Perhaps this is just a one-off.

"Look at the years of the Iran-Iraq war with the machine-guns jamming as they overheated, and the use of poison gas as it was considered more efficient. "

Bah, we westerners were doing the very same things to each other in the same century.

Al-Qaida did not exist in Iraq before the invasion. Now it's a breeding ground.

Too many of the war's supporters seemingly suffer from Alzheimers when reminded of the heydays when a frightening number of Americans truly believed Saddam had a hand in 9/11, largely thanks to government propoganda pushing their agenda through politics of fear.

"I was absolutely certain that the carnage would cease."

Y'know, the left-wing parodies just aren't as funny as the screaming conservative ones.

I demand Fattuous Fatty returns immediately to show these imposters how it's done.

Ah, so when you said this: Uhm, I don't believe this was happening much before March 2003, though I know a fex still to prefer the Blikers and the fingers in the ears at this point.

By 'this', you were referring to the presence of Al Q'aida in Iraq then?

Suicide bombings. Y'know, like the topic at hand.

Bah, that phrase was so badly typed. I apologise.

What kind of reward does a female suicide bomber receive in heaven?

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Accepted! :8)

Hmmm.... these suicide bombings seem to have sprung from the 1980s... http://www.amazon.co.jp/My-Life-Weapon-History-Suicide/dp/0691126151

Agreed.

But only in Iraq since the "liberation".
