"Suicide bomber kills 23 at funeral in Iraq"
More attacks like this could be the cost of drawing down from Iraq, but, quite frankly, America cannot afford to stay and babysit the Iraq government much longer.
The Bush-Republican-fuelled global recession has, in effect, hobbled Bush and the Neocon's long-term ambition of staying in Iraq pretty much indefinitely.

Actually I was thinking we passed the point of not being able to afford it long ago.
One would think that a funeral, at least, could be sacred, even amongst the most barbaric of people.
But since the Iraqis now have democracy, I am sure they all died happy, or so someone will probably try and convince us.

You know there will always be tension in the area. Just saying go home hasn't worked.
The rebels have been fighting for autonomy in Turkey’s southeast since 1984. The conflict has killed tens of thousands of people.
This was the only place where Iraqi citizens had been fighting for their independence before george bush decided to attack a virtually defenseless country.
Iraq and the leaders both local and national better get on the same drawing board on this one and settle it with Turkey. If not Turkey won't be able to hold back. < :-)

More deaths due to the policies of Bush and his mates. Iraq was free of terrorists before the illegal invasion. Some Americans still believe the illegal occupation was right, so insane. More trgedy after tragedy will continue, because Iraq has been decimated by the Americans (The bad guys).

Obamas war is proceeding splendidly.

"Obamas war is proceeding splendidly."
Other than being amnesic, dis-honest or even derranged, I fail to see how even the most radical of those amongst us can call this "Obama's war".

ClassWarUK the Kurds and Turkey were fighting long before we got there. Yes george bush was a liar and started a war in Iraq for his own self indulgence, but the Kurds and Turkey were at it before. They are the only people who wanted their freedom in Iraq.
Before we got there they were fighting and long after we leave they will still be fighting until it's resolved. < :-)

Time to train the Iraqis to defend themselves and say our good-byes. This region will never taken a liking to democracy, so why should the West waste their time?
