The appreciation is amazing. This was worth about 10,000-20,000 dollars when I was a teen ager.
Of course, when you figure some kid bought it originally for a dime and sold it a month later for a nickel, well, there you are.

Same thing happened to me when I was 13. Some old lady cleaned out her attic and found a box full of her sons old comic books. I took them home and started reading them... then my mom thought it wasn't educational enough and tossed them out herself... Gotta love the ignorance of those days.
Its always the momma's that make sure their son's never get a large sum of money for their old toys. sigh
