Backers of the regulations say they are common-sense measures intended to protect women

So what's the data on the number of injured women in abortions in Texas? If they are passing laws on this then obviously they have done research. Anyone have a link to it?

I find it beyond comical that anyone would have any sort of opposition to abortion.. If they are opposed, then they shouldn't get one when they're pregnant - if they're not pregnant, it's absolutely none of their business in the first place

I think the only people who should be able to decide on whether abortion should be freely available are women - preferably pregnant

Let me put this into perspective for you, as someone that does oppose abortion for all but medical/rape reasons:

'I find it beyond comical that anyone would have any sort of opposition to infanticide.. If they are opposed, then they shouldn't conduct one when they're a mother - if they're not a mother, it's absolutely none of their business in the first place'

I view abortion to not just be equivalent to murder- I view abortion AS murder, and so do many other people who oppose it. I have studied all of the arguments for and against the legal right to abortion, and after contemplation have came to the conclusion that an unborn fetus is fundamentally no different than an infant. Telling me that I have to be pregnant to oppose abortion is a fallacy argument. Just as you don't have to be a parent to oppose child beating, a boss to oppose worker abuse. etc.

Good argument but flawed. You don't have to be a boss to oppose worker abuse, no, but you could be a boss, potentially. There's no way for a man to be truly pregnant under an circumstances, so I reckon that takes away the right of any man to affect the abortion debate. Sure, you can have an opinion and express it all you like, but male lawmakers and other people in positions of power should remain quiet on the issue.

If you extend that logic then any infertile woman or woman past the age of child bearing should likewise stay silent on this issue, as they no more have the ability to become pregnant than a man. If pro-choice advocates arguments are so potent, they shouldn't feel the need to silence the opposition for such an absurd reason. And I CERTAINLY don't see pro-choice people silence males that agree with them.
