Analysts say American officials may be reasoning that whatever damage to American-Pakistan ties as a result of the strikes can be repaired when U.S. President George W Bush leaves office and a new president is inaugurated.
This is unconscionable that we would actually kill people using this mentality. I mean we have killed innocents over and over and we continue to do it and Obama can smooth this out after he takes office.
How can anybody in their right mind continue to defy the country of Pakistan by bombing Pakistan after the U. S. Ambassador was called in the other day and Pakistan told us to stop our killer drone.
george bush and the Pentagon is continueing their stradegy of stupidity at all cost. < :-)

Well if this doesn't prove that the current administration's doing all dirty work it can while still in office, then nothing does. Funny how one day some cheer this as great news on the war on terror, etc. etc. etc. Then next day, when innocent civilians are killed in these insane non stop bombing campaign, the same people casually brush it off, collateral damage, blah blah.
Is it any wonder the war in that area of the region is stymied and digressing?

yeah, but

Obama is going to fix it.

"Obama is going to fix it"
I doubt it.

Helter Skelter's link is over a year old when Obama and Hillary (and other Dems) were going at each other's throats. Even considering his statement it says nothing about indiscriminate bombing campaigns left and right. Even back then Obama stressed the importance of reliable intelligence, not hearsay from some unreliable source that leads to civilian deaths.

That's one of the points I disagree with Barack. Isn't the only disagreement I have, but that's one. < :-)

sarge: "I doubt it."
Doubt it all you like. I can GUARANTEE Obama will be more into helping the issue than exacerbating it, like McCain would. Fortunately, we'll never have a chance to see the latter in action because Obama is going to win.

Actually, you make a good point. Obama's flip-flopped on half the issues over the last month, let alone a year. His quote is probably meaningless.

Ah, kind of like how Canada's government speaks out against torture while they secretly help the US with torture, or rendition flights that are condemned by European leaders onto to find out later (and with much less media attention) that they knew all along, or other countries who blast Gitmo while refusing to take their countrymen back from Gitmo meaning they technically can't leave.
I suppose now we can add Pakistan to the same list. The hypocrisy is astounding, isn't it?

obama wants to invade pakistan.
how is invading a nuclear power going to help 'the issue' of eradicating militant, transnational islamo-fascism?
