This is a great story! I am so happy for this old Swedish woman! Congratulations on finding your wedding ring after so many years. The Spanish Deputy Prime Minister?? This I do not understand, what does this picture have to do with the old woman from Sweden??

Spanish Deputy Prime Minister, ring and carrot got all mixed up good here. First, I could not comprehend to the story with the photo.

Globalwatcher, perhaps the message is that the likelihood of Spain reaching a deficit of four percent of GDP in 2012 is roughly equal to that of a Swedish woman finding her wedding ring after 16 years on a carrot.

In Europe, that is, I believe, a common analogy.

Glad you guys touched on the photo and story... I couldn't figure that out either.

In any case, I'm glad this woman found her ring... seems a good story to start out the new year.

How did the ring get from her kitchen to her garden? Where is Columbo when you need him?
