Can we please get a new source of information. Isn't it a little odd that all of the figures and information that English based news is quoting is solely from one single source based in the UK.
hmm... see if you can figure out whose side the protestors are on.
I guess they're not counting Agent Orange.
The Syrian government has unequivocally stated that chem weapons will only be used in the event of invasion by another country. All countries with WMDs have the same policy.
No matter how nasty the Al Qaeda rebels are, the Syrian government has ruled out use of WMD on the Al Qaeda rebels on Syrian soil.
Stray bullet from whom? Take a look at Jordanian news if you want the answer as the French AFP seems to have oopsy-daisy forgotten to mention that.

Assad started this mess by ordering the murder of peaceful protesters. Now he's proven his ineptitude in handling the situation as it's spiraled completely out of his control. At this point he needs to go for the good of Syria.

That's a serious allegation, can you substantiate it with any credible evidence.
If you can't, it's just your opinion.

Hmm, I wonder what faction would be taking such a stance.

A yes, the protesters who were killed by snipers just before the UN gathered to vote...
Assad might not be an angel, but he is no idiot.
Its much more likely they were killed by so-called rebel forces, especially if you consider all the other nasty things they've done to civilians.

Is that a photo of a rebel with his son? That's wierd. I thought all the rebels were foreigners.
I wonder why they bring their infant sons to fight with them?

Tamarama:
Who told you "all rebels are foreigners"? The majority of Syria are Sunnis, so the the jihadists have the demographic advantage. And of course the Muslim Brotherhood and Al Quaeda are Sunni organizations, so the extremist parts of Syrias Sunnis are certainly involved in this so-called "freedom fight", aka ismalist takeover.

Personally, I find it amazing that Western liberals now are in favour of yet another misguided intervention in an Arab dictatorship, because the secular dictator posses chemical weapons.
What a familiar situation, and how minds have suddenly changed! Paragons of consistency... not.

Infants are paid $30 per day by Qatar.

Might be seen as an irresponsible publicity stunt, walking around in a war zone with a small child, who looks to be 2-3 years of age--not an infant.
Might be safer than Turkey, Jordan or Qatar, on the other hand, should the scuds start flying.
That probably won't happen if Assad's forces are able to clear the rebels from the Damascus suburbs, turning the tide in the conflict.
