Assad must go! His kingdom is being torn from his hand's! His Reign is over...Now go away!!!

These committees are made up of people who have taken up arms to defend their villages or neighborhoods against the rebels.

The fighting in Homs was concentrated in the Crac des Chevaliers region, home to a historic Crusader castle, and Wadi al-Nassara, a valley where a number of Christian villages are located.

If the Rebels are so benign and pious why are Christian civilians risking their lives to defend their families against them.

The rebels are the ones committing the atrocities in Syria and the Christians living there are bearing the brunt of it. The sad part is that the Christian civilians are dying at the hands of weapons supplied by the West

What a mess! What does Russia really want from Syria?? Are only the Chinese, Iranians and Russians supporting Assad while his troops kill innocent men, women and children?? Why is Assad unhappy with Egypt??

Elbuda - Why does Obama allow this bloodshed to continue?

Are you turning around the words of the article on purpose? Where did it say that Assad kills innocent men, women and children? Even this French (note!) article says that it was some "anti-Assad activists pointed the finger", and not even the so-called Observatory. All the article says is that Putin tries to stop the bloodshed at the same time as the rebels are supplied more and more arms. Stop your nonsense about China, Iran and Russia already. We don't need new Afghanistan bordering Europe.

A vast majority of the support to the rebels is given by Middle Eastern countries. Not sure why everyone is so obsessed by the token support given by "The West."

The only way to stop the violence in Syria is first for the Syrian Army to totally pull back and give the Rebels free reign. Then a no-fly zone must be imposed and finally a provisional government of Syria set up.

Assad has no right to use weapons against his own people.

I'm sure Never Submit will agree with me, because they're his words.

I am not sure, where you get this from, but it is exactly opposite to what is done by the US and allies in Afghanistan. Giving the free reign to the bandits is not an option if one is responsible to the situation.

That is true. However, Turkey, who is he major supplier of weapons to the rebels in a member of NATO and may not make a move without agreement from "The West". Thus, the link.

This, by the way, is totally wrong, and NeverSubmit should never agree with you. All the governments use weapons against their own people, who use weapons in turn. All the armed bandits, hostage takers and such can be shot by the police, and are shot by the police all over the world. Using weapons against armed men is an accepted norm everywhere, unless you want to give an example, where it in not done that way.

No, Madverts they are not my words at all. You intentionally misquoted me and you altered and changed the words I used to suit your position and then you claimed that those statements were mine.

If you want to quote me that's fine, but please quote me verbatim and don't change the wording in a vain attempt to confute and discredit me.

Have you noticed that the three Middle Eastern countries which are directly supporting the rebels are all staunch US allies.

And have you heard any of the comments from French President Hollande recently. He's been openly touting unwavering French support for the rebels with no limit on supplies of lethal weaponry and an abundance of funding and ancillary support.

Attempting to?

Time and time again, you always sound like a mouth piece for the Assad regime, never once showing us all on JT otherwise. You say the Rebels are responsible for this, responsible for that, if so, where is some concrete proof of that? You cannot feel discredited, when you didn't show us anything to give you credit on, just "one-sided opinions" if you believe your opinions to be true, that is your prerogative, but don't pass them on as facts to the rest of us. When you try to discredit CNN or other news outlets again, in doing so, show us something at least to make a sensible debate. You can only go by facts. Pure and simple. Fact: Assad is fighting to stay in power. Fact: The rebels want Assad to relinquish power. Fact: Assad has been attacking and killing his own people and to crush the uprising. Fact: The rebels or opposition are fighting back and retaliating: Fact: Assad is doing everything he can to stay in power, everything! Fact: Assad is baring foreign journalists from entering the country, therefore information flow is difficult to come by, but from the Assad side, it is always positive, really, given that countries history for violent oppressions when people protest. Fact: When there is concrete proof from the media from legitimate networks that have NO dog in this fight, they are quickly discredit, but Assad offers no counter evidence to rebuke the proof. Those are all facts. Concrete, hard, based facts! Recordings, videos, that cannot be disputed. If you say otherwise, then please, show us why, that is not anything difficult or mean spirited to ask for. If not, then your postings will seem more like opinionated rantings. Just food for thought.

Yes, rethink what countries are doing to the Russian military weapons production economy.

Dear Boy you did that long ago to yourself!

"There is no uprising amongst the Syrians themselves" - NeverSubmit

There, did I quote you correctly?
