Where did I hear the chemical weapon argument already?

It's like Deja vu all over again. But on another note, this seems like great news, if this can work out to get Assad out of the country with minimal bloodshed that would be great. All eyes are on Assad and he should do the right thing. His regime slaughtered thousands of innocent people and the people are tired. It's true, no one knows how the rebels will turn out to be, but at least it's a start and the people can take charge of their own lives in a FREE Syria.

Seems reasonable enough, if the elections have international monitors and Assad is as hated by the people as the US claims then what's wrong with having him run in the election like everybody else.
Having all candidates run in an internationally monitored election seems like the best solution, why is the US against it?

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, speaking after meeting China's top diplomat, said Moscow and Beijing were committed to "the need to strictly adhere to the norms of international law ... and not to allow their violation.
So the US is staying cool and not getting involved. Even though folks are being killed left and right over 18,000 so far . I hope Syria don't use their 30 Russian Bombers Sukhoi Su-22 planes that were flew to the North and East of the City to have easy access for bombing the rebels and everything else in the bombs path.

weapons of mass deception.

The US gets quite upset when the people democratically elect someone the US does not like (e.g., Hamas).
Iso Poika
What?!!! The US is behind this entire mess. The US has been planning regime change in Syria (among other places) for long over a decade.
Just imagine if Syria has a fair open election, and Assad wins!!! What will the US do then?

Been watching a few too many Oliver Stone movies again, huh?
I don't think we have to worry about him winning. So it shouldn't be an issue at all. You are talking about a very small, micro chance.

There will be no negotiation between two wings of the Syrian society in a quest for sharing the control over the country. The reason is simple: These rebels do not constitute a wing of the Syrian public. Rather, they are America's proxies. Obama has contrived this brilliant trick of presenting the regime change operation as a "homegrown rebellion", which is part of an "Arab spring". But aside from this trick, this is nothing but an ordinary American regime change operation. While the Syrians are weak and exhausted, the American proxies enjoy unlimited supply, sophisticated guidance and methods, financing and an awesome propaganda machine which includes even the UN. Obama and the West will not be contented with anything less than a humiliating defeat of Syria, and adding her to the collection of Arab countries under American rule. This will make the collection complete.

Indeed. What great achievements the Hamas have made in their mandate.

"Just imagine if Syria has a fair open election, and Assad wins!!!"
He is currently clinging to power by bombing his own people, and that isn't working.
That you and Never Submit suggest this murderous dictator stand in any future Syrian elections is a testament to your slender grip on reality.

No, he is bombing foreign backed, financed, armed, and assisted terrorists.
What's the big deal; Obama is running again, and he is certainly responsible for the murder of many more people than Assad.
Actually, the fact that he must resort to using the military to resist a western-backed coup just proves that he will not follow the West's agenda at the expense of the Syrian people. He would probably end up winning if there is a fair election.

He's personally ? Why Syrian soldiers make this battle? for 1 year .. in full blockade ..
Because they fighting for Motherland....not for Assad..
