I have nothing but admiration for the Kurds. Plus some of their warrior ladies are kinda cute.

They deserve every bit of assistance the West can supply in fighting the slime of humanity. May their victory be swift and merciless.

Great job Kurds. On the other hand, destruction of a country leads to nothing else to borrowing money from the money masters. If a country is self-sufficient and does not rely on outside forces, those who lend money are pretty much out of business. Only by creating chaos the money changers can find opportunity to fleece people of their property and of their souls. The money masters accomplish in coordination with opposite factions. In fact, they create antagonism and differing ideologies in order to facilitate the right conditions for their purposes.

Once again.... Remember only a few months ago? When the kurds were the terrorists?

You are interested in what is going on and what ISIS is? Read here, its a US magazine, who actually REALLY did reserach:

No, the PKK has been portrayed as a terrorist group for decades due to historic struggles with Turkey. Overall the Kurds have been playing a very important role in Iraq since the war started.

The Kurds are aligned with Assad.

Their goals are the same with regard to destroying ISIS, which is a cause I agree with as well. Since the Kurds have a history of being persecuted by the Assad government, I am not sure if 'aligned' is the correct term however.

I do think the Assad government is better than the alternative of an ISIS one. This opinion is surely shared by both Assad and the Syrian Kurds.

burning bush:

" The Kurds are aligned with Assad. I wonder how the US reconciles with the fact that it's helping Assad's ally (the Kurds) and fighting Assad's enemy (ISIS). "

The Kurds are not "aligned with Assad". They want their homeland in 4 states where it is denied to them. Their only "alliance" with Assad is that both they and Assad are fighting ISIS:

You are correct though that the US policy of both trying to fight ISIS and Assad is insane. Assad is the only realistic option to remove ISIS from Syria, and among the various Arab dictators, his Alawite regime was by far the most secular and tolerant one. Under ISIS, non-sunni minorities are genocided, under Assad they were protected. Our politicians are completely ignoring that.
