The Taliban? THE taliban that was supposedly vanquished like the year after 9/11?

Can anyone pretty please explain to me what's going on in Afghanistan, and why the Taliban is doing anything to make news? What happened to the surge? Oh, whoops, that was Iraq.

its not like there was a head count on the number of taliban insurgents and the fellows hide and recruit then carry out their surprise attacks....bottom line, there is no end.

Just look at history...there is always an end...

Question is how long...

In some cases a few years is enough for major change...in others decades or even centuries...

In my estimation, the public of the USA dont have the patience to last centuries in this fight....and perhaps not even decades.

Time will tell.
