The title could equally be: "Taliban Attack in Kabul shows insurgents are racist". (They targeted members of an ethnic group. Not the first time, either.)

Not crippled...again. Are you enjoying the see-saw ride? Some people are so concerned about a not so clearly defined "victory" in the future that they ignore the continuing see-saw ride of "We hit the Taliban, the Taliban bounces back". Its like kiddie hour at the playground, "Look daddy I'm higher! Oh noes! I'm lower again!" Nobody is going to finish on top. When is everybody going to see this?

Those dead cowards are gone from this earth, they can only do that trick once. Islam targets and then hides with innocent civilians, pure cowards.
America is winning the wars against the evil Islamic terrorists, every time we kill them its a victory in this war. When will moderate Islam put an end to the killing of innocents in their name?

HeyLars
guest, you seem to be thinking that Afghanistan is the home of moderate Islam or that it represents moderate Islam in some way? Your question is the same holding all Christians responsible for the situation in North Ireland. Extremely silly.
Every time we kill ten Taliban militants, ten men take their place over the next three years and one other man becomes an actual terrorist. And its because we killed the militants in their own country. You seem to have forgotten the fact that Afghanis breed and that people join the Taliban and its not a DNA issue.
And hey, how about a clear date for victory? Is that too much to ask?

America is the home of moderate Islam.
That date will come, when the moderate Muslims around the world, accept that parts of their Koran are simply wrong, and change the attitude that killing and intimidation in their name is OK. Until that happens, America will fight, and wipe that terrorist DNA of this earth.
That dog wont hunt.

Those are the two most foolish comments I've ever heard. If only it were as simple as finding the right target and pushing a button. But you know, people like to move around and not stay put in one place. Plus it also requires trustworthy information as well as enemies that don't mix and melt in with the general populous. Tell us oh wise ones, how you would aim better in such situations?

HeyLars: And hey, how about a clear date for victory? Is that too much to ask?
Hahahaha, that's like saying "How about a clear date for the end of the recession? Is that too much to ask?" Er, just a little.
Anyway, such an attack only shows that the Taliban are trying to distract attention from what's happening down south, to take the heat off them a little. Taliban propaganda is generally well thought out, much better than NATO's; many people in the West just lap it up, face value, every last drop.
Let's just hope that a long-term non-military solution will be seen as viable by all players. We will probably be picking up the bill for rebuilding their infrastructure and finding employment for them, though. Just like back home, in many ways.
