Corrupted Islamic faith followers. There God will be none too pleased.

Nothing new. Even in Greece I once was told by a local not to go into a certain Club, as he put it I won't come out as a man swift U-turn by me.

The insurgents have long denied using children in combat, a claim repeatedly debunked by rights groups and the government.

During the iran-iraq war, thousands of children were deployed in combat by both sides. But at least they weren't having sex with boys. These people are sick.

The US really needs to re-consider islamic refugees from Afghanistan.

"Many in Uruzgan see bacha bazi neither as paedophilia nor homosexuality, which is forbidden in Islam."

Religious so called 'true believers' always interpret their books to suit their own agenda. Great article jt.

Agree. . . and we are supposed to be "tolerant"?? No thank you-

For the downvoter.

Whenever we hit a beach in Greece or Turkey I got more attention from the local men than my 17yr old Sister who is still a stunner now at 50.

Nothing against gays we get along well but it was a bit eye-opening for me.

Like I said this article is not surprising to me.

I wish I could call this MSM BS, but I can't. The recent story of the Afghani immigrant in Germany, sentenced last week to prison for pulling a young boy into public pool bathroom and raping him, calling it a "sexual emergency".

About 7 years ago there was a PBS "Independent Lens" program about this Bacha Bazi. Not really surprised at all since it's been going on for centuries. ME countries are known for their practically no limits corruption in positions of power in government. It's like the name of the game in certain countries where if you don't bring a bribe, you don't get any service or support even from a government agency.

These folks are just all kinds of sick in the head. And it's not getting better sadly.

That temp ban is starting to sound pretty good

Ain't it though . . . ?

Afghanistan is so different from any civilised country the best thing to do would be to quarantine the entire country and leave them to their backward ways and habits. They are not worth bothering with any longer.

If Afghanistan is left on its own, “bacha bazi” would definitely continue its tradition

It appears that in cultures which demonize relations with women, such as with some Muslims, and with the Catholic clergy, pedophilia becomes a real problem.

5 ( +7 / -2 )

LOL@WilliB. There were no "bacha bazi" scenes in Rambo part 3. LOL, I thought they were the "good guys".

and with the Catholic clergy, pedophilia becomes a real problem.

Agree. But at least the priests aren't violating young boys, AND THEN sending them off to trick / murder their enemies.

Was George W. Bush right in ordering the Taliban ousted from power in Afghanistan in 2001?

Inhumane.

Must be as frustrating as anything to live in a society when one of the sexes is covered from head to toe. And so these desperate young men take their sexual frustrations out on anything.....be it girls, boys, women, or men. Is it not similar to Catholic priests who are supposed to be celibate? Trying to tell people they can't have sex goes against everything humans are..............and that is we are basically designed to procreate.

Wc626: The US really needs to re-consider islamic refugees from Afghanistan

The refugee system was made to give people who are caught in situations like this a way out, especially children.

Superlib:

" The refugee system was made to give people who are caught in situations like this a way out, especially children. "

Was the refugee system also set up for the refugees to bring with them system that created the hellhole they fled from? Because that is what is happening thanks the multiculturalism. Because of multiculturalism and postmodernism, we are not allowed to say that Western culture is superior to the one that practises Bachi Baza.

We cannot change the backward cultures in the world. If USA allows immigration from all over the world today shouldn't it be like it was 100 years ago? Either become an American or go back home. Allowing even discussion of wanting shariah law in any nation immigrants have been welcomed is like a slap in the face. It doesn't mix with non Muslim societies. Not at all.

Muslims I know are good people, they live like us, they go home for visits and become culturally correct with dress. Come to America become culturally correct. Don't even desire to introduce barbaric practices.

I know SE Asians who have grown up here and married the parents choices. One did decline one before he married the second pick.

The practice of bacha-bazi is traditional in Afghanistan. the taliban was in the process of stamping it out when they ruled. ironically, the ousting of the taliban meant the practice of paedophilia took off again.

Might be strongest today in Afghanistan but it as a traditional concept it is not limited by borders.

Read some ancient or medieval literature it used to be very widespread even in Europe.

"Ancient" being the operative word.

Too many on the Right are being emotional and overreacting, and because of that they're starting to support proposals that will cause extreme harm in overall relations between countries and within countries. I really don't think any of you have thought that far ahead or given any thought about long-term consequences. The US is at our weakest when we isolate ourselves. We are going to distance ourselves from our allies and that will directly impact our ability to manipulate things around the globe. You are setting us up for losses.

At home, you're going to create an image that Muslims are outside of society or not legitimate Americans. You've probably given no thought about the collateral damage this will cause us as a nation. It's the kind of stuff they write about in history books. Being prejudiced isn't some kind of effective form of policing, it's just being prejudiced. We won't let you legitimize it.

Sharia law is not coming to America. For heaven's sake. I don't even know how to respond to something that is so utterly left field in my mind. Do you know what America is doing while we aren't practicing sharia? We're giving Christians the special right to say, "I refuse to serve you because you are homosexual" and "I don't have to participate in the same healthcare system because of Jesus." And it's working. In 2016. Stop chasing the squirrel and look at what's actually happening around you.

And finally, Obama is not a secret Muslim. He's not working on behalf of Middle Eastern countries. He's not trying to import millions of Muslims so they can take over America. He's not slipping information to terrorists. And he's not from Kenya. The things you people come up with. It's just too childish to be wasting so much time on.

So these child sex slaves are basically taking revenge on their tormentors? TBH that seems to fair to me
