Tours resumed at the JSA a while ago; they were suspended for about a week. Monday is a scheduled no tour day to give the workers there a break since they don't get Saturday off. The speakers in the JSA are off and remain off; in fact the only speakers still working are on the northern side at Kijong-dong (the fake propaganda village). They play North Korean patriotic music; very operatic sounding stuff. The speakers that are on the southern side of the DMZ are spread across the whole front and are mostly playing K-Pop (which is psychological warfare itself); but not in the JSA. Sorry the reporter didn't take the chance to sign up for a tour on the southern side during the week.

What about all the secret talks that the USA, NK had last week about an official truce? There is always a lot of hot air before the truth comes out.

It will indeed likely get worse before it gets better, but hopefully there are none of the usual incidents that happen along the border, with their potential to restart the war.

Yes let's take what a north korean says to be true. They still haven't worked out that everything that stems from their ideology is considered stupid by the rest of the world.
