I did not know the king was allowed to talk. Sure took his time.

As long as there are freeloaders, others will want to get on the bandwagon but if the people at the top are able, diligent and not overly self indulgent, the masses may attend to hearth and home apolitically.

goddog, he is 82 and been hospitalized for 7 months. The kids should have grown up and taken care of it themselves instead of waiting for papa to speak.

Monarchs are a waste of time. They might be good for cutting ribbons and patting orphans on the head but solving a crisis is really not something they can do...Thailand had one elected government thrown out by street protests and now the folks who were thrown out are trying to get back. Sounds like a good recipe for a civil war.

As long business is going on,in thailand , things are okay with protests. Thailand stock exchange still strong and rice food exports also okay, despite protests. This is democracy thailand,it is a bit chaotic but generally no one wants to kill others.
There is a problem, whoever are leaders must solve them. Thailand has pushed this problem under the rug. Now that the problem has surfaced, people should improve tackling problems pro-actively in thailand, before the problem hit society.
If this is happening in thailand, same problem like these, can arise also elsewhere, where problems are hid, under the carpet.
