stay in power and declare a snap election or vote of confidence but don't give in to mob's rule. If not it will be like South Korea where they protest everything by mob and destroys property, much like the Philippines where people think changing the president will change everything like magic and will have their people power 1, 2 , 3, 4 etc.

speaking out my opinion : -
“PAD members have agreed not to give up. Since they (Samak’s party) took power in the election, they are trying to manipulate politics and interfere in the justice system,” Sondhi said.
The PAD protesters accuse Samak of acting as a puppet for ousted premier Thaksin Shinawatra, who they helped topple in 2006.
The above statements are true and Samak should resign before this stand off leads to the beginning of a new more severe South East Asian Financial Crisis with everyone taking out their money out of Thailand.
