Don't worry, Mosul will be fine. President Obama will talk to the terrorists and the brillance of his logic and reasoning will end the violence in time for American forces to return home based on his political schedule; not the situation on the ground in Mosul.

This is not cutting and running, it is Vietnamization of the war. Once the US skeleton that supports Iraq is removed, I wonder if the who country will collapse into a jelly-like mass.

Only recently have additional troops and intelligence gatherers from both the U.S. and Iraqi governments been sent to the capital city of Ninevah province, about 225 miles northwest of Baghdad, to keep al-Qaida from spreading.

This is why Obama's not just going to pull the troops out. He's giving the Iraqis a change to get control.

But by the sounds of it some people are so upset that Obama's plans aren't going so well.

Problem is Obama has only had less than 60 days to get busy ending the war. At least he hasn't had as much practice as george bush had to work on the war. bush had 5 years 10 months to stay the course and really lose a war. < :-)

What is that supposed to mean? By pulling out troops, "the Iraqis" take control by definition. The question is which Iraqis. It was incredibly naive by Bush to assume that Iraq is ready to become a liberal democracy, it is just as naive by Obama to assume that.

How funny, I never knew that President Obama started this war. We need to get out of this Republican mess and get to the task of hunting those that attacked us.

Leave them to fight the war and then maybe they will straighten themselves out. I have a funny feeling that they can handle this. We are not nation builders. President Bush and his backers forgot that, all they saw was O.I.L., you know Operation Iraqi Freedom.
