Sid Miller, Republican. Party of the Clueless American knuckle-draggers. What a shock...not

It seems there are lots of crazies down there.

I have heard a lot of talk like this but it only seems to come from Americans. Do they really believe the current situation with terrorists is remotely comparable to the situation with Japan during WW2?

That would be bad enough, but do they also think the 99.9 percent of people in the Middle East who are not members of a terrorist organization should be made to suffer atomic bombs just because the terrorists label themselves of the same religion as them? Many of these terrorists do not hesitate to attack fellow Muslims both outside of and even inside of mosques! But of course, Americans think they are bearing the brunt of foreign terror because they have no idea what is happening in the world. They only know what is happening in Amerika!

You would think this guy would have the sense to apologize even if it was a shared post and not his own original post. Guess not!

'Miller, a professional rodeo calf-roper and former state lawmaker'

Am I the only one who finds that sentence slightly odd?

He previously made headlines for repealing a ban on deep fryers at schools

The pinnacle of political excellence.

1 ( +3 / -2 )

@Jimizo, yes, I didn't know there was big prize money in calf roping. Bull riding or bronc busting might pay more. Sounds like he is low on the rodeo hierarchy, waiting to pass the exam for the good paying rodeo clown job.

He previously made headlines for repealing a ban on deep fryers at schools shortly after taking office in January.

Let me guess....Republican? Let's check his website.

Trusted Defender of the 2nd Amendment Proven Pro-Life Leader Fiscal Conservative and Taxpayer Champion Conservative Constitutionalist Tea-Party Approved

I suppose we should add Islamic Holocaust Proponent to the list. Fits in nicely.

He is free to make hate speech like this?

-1 ( +2 / -3 )

The Lone Star State. Yes, that is it.

-1 ( +1 / -2 )

He is free to make hate speech like this?

Yes, Alex, it's his First Amendment right.

But it's illegal for him to take more than three sips of beer at a time while standing. And the entire Encyclopedia Britannica is banned in Texas because it contains a formula for making beer at home.

@theprinciple

but do they also think the 99.9 percent of people in the Middle East who are not members of a terrorist organization should be made to suffer atomic bombs just because the terrorists label themselves of the same religion as them?

ridiculous that some people would lump a whole group of people together like that. unacceptable.

Americans think they are bearing the brunt of foreign terror because they have no idea what is happening in the world. They only know what is happening in Amerika!

oh wait, you're a hypocrite

'Sid Miller, Republican. Party of the Clueless American knuckle-draggers. What a shock'

Don't judge the whole of the US by the standards of Texas. Also, I had the dubious pleasure of living there and there are also people there who are mortified to be associated with primitives of this kind. I promised to say this whenever I got the chance to my old mate in Dallas. He'd probably shoot me if I didn't.

oh wait, you're a hypocrite

Sorry should have said "a majority of Americans". In fact, I should have said North Americans because I have heard Canadians saying the same crazy thing. They actually think they are saying something clever when they speak of bombing deserts into glass.

-4 ( +0 / -4 )

A lot of thumbing down here. Is anyone prepared to come out and defend this deep-frying, lardarsed, less-than-intelligent, hateful crackpot?

Just wondering.

1 ( +3 / -2 )

Sorry should have said "a majority of Americans".

no, you shouldn't have said anything because you have no idea what you're talking about. you say "a majority of americans" like it's a fact, well, lets see the poll numbers. or is this just anecdotal evidence that you collect and extrapolate in your confused mind? you don't further the discussion by using an absurd ad hominem on a whole continent.

Hi jokers. I think it was wrong to use the bombings of japan as a reference to "been at peace."

But let's face it, the US Air Force launching strikes from Turkey are a joke. In fact the whole strategic air campaign has been a failure. I'm not saying nuke IS . . . . .

But the guy doesn't have to apologize if that's how he feels. Everyone always gets too butt-hurt on these issues. The guy can't help it- he's from TX. They don't take crap there. For better or worse.

-3 ( +1 / -4 )

Okay. I get that people are applauding this lardarse for speaking his mind. Great. He has that right. Can someone now please give a reason to applaud his ideas?

Can someone now please give a reason to applaud his ideas?

Why take your bait? No matter how one supports his view, it's a dead end. & you know this.

There was a forum recently which asked JT posters if they thought the Hiro/Naka bombings were justified. The thread kept going in circles. Those saying it was too cruel & unjust vs those saying it brought a quick end to the war andsaved lives.

That argument is about 70 years old-

Another idiot in a political position. That senile coot doesn't understand that during WW2 nobody knew what the aftermath of an atomic bomb would be like. Now we do know and we have nuclear warhead missiles which are much worse than the a-bombs. This guy's a damned fool... I can't stand fools.

I'm not a fan of Islamic doctrine (and indoctrination), but don't go around spouting dropping nukes like the results are going to be the same as what happened to Japan. Completely different cultures, moral values, and histories behind them do matter. Plus Japan in the 1930s-50s is a completely different era than many ME countries in 2015...

"Todd Smith, a political consultant for Miller, said he didn’t know why the post was taken down but said critics outraged over the content should instead be demanding apologies from Islamic terrorists" - article

The reader must remember, Texas Agriculture Commissioner Sid Miller has stepped in sh@t his whole life. This isn't an example of something new for Miller, it's what he's made of. The scary thing is he has a paid political "consultant" who "didn’t know why the post was taken down". That's what they call, 'The Blind Leading the Blind.'

The rest of the civilized world sees Miller for what he is, a bigot. End of.

Many countries in the middle east have been bombed by the USA for various reasons, including trivial things like insulting the father of George W Bush. However, the main culprit behind the attacks in New York, the major source of IS funding, the origin of much extremist propaganda and the home of intolerance and hatred of all things western, Saudi Arabia, never gets a mention.

If any country deserves a good bombing it's Saudi Arabia, yet the US government and republicans never have a word to say against them. Instead, they sell them arms which they use to murder their own citizens and people in other countries. If someone repeatedly punches you in the face would you call that person a friend or an ally? Of course not. Yet the media continues to portray Saudi Arabia as an ally of the west when it is nothing of the sort.

While this vague facebook post seems to be an issue, Iran is openly discussing how many nuclear bombs it takes to wipeout Israel...but that is not an issue; the contrary, the US government is determined to help them along. Go figure.

-3 ( +1 / -4 )

Let's see... Republican... from Texas... Nope, no surprises he thinks a holocaust is okay.
