Jeeezus H, have you seen the size of that crater? Well, here we go, it's time to admit it's in Pakistan proper is this 'war', this idealogical struggle. Kind of helps the States in its mission to stroll over the border from Afghanistan into the Badlands.
Despite the US help the Pakistan government especially under Musharraf simply failed to stem the tide of terrorism and now we hear of Pakistani soldiers trying to stop US forces from Afghanistan encroaching into their territory.
What is wrong with Pakistan?
And what is wrong with the muslim world. The best thing for muslims to do is to condemn the murderers who slaughter innocent muslims with others..they are not muslims anymore but murderers...
George Bush may not be popular but history will judge Bush as the one who flushed out the killers and warned the world of their existence and now the world truly sees the murderers lurking in the dark everywhere.
They are not muslim murderers but evil murderers and the world condemns those cowards...

My friend, this is what is known as the will of the people. Pakistan is a deeply religious nation, so Musharraf could only do so much in trying to keep the lid on the boiling pot in that country. The geniuses in the West, especially the media, threw him under the bus for not doing enough. They traded in a Western-leaning military dictatorship for "democracy." What a bunch of fools. Democracy translates into mob rule. The mob in Pakistan is radical, Islamic, loves Osama and hates America. Wanna guess how this "democracy" solution is going to turn out? Take a look at the size of that crater.

You sound like a real hater. I hope you are not being facetious here and trying to say that Islam makes blowing up your enemies a sacrament of some kind.
George Bush may not be popular but history will judge Bush as the one who flushed out the killers and warned the world of their existence
What re-education camp have you been attending?? Al-Quaeda has been on the radar clearly since the bombings of the Twin towers back on February 26, 1993.
And any president would have gone after the perpetrators of 9/11, to the point of violating Afghanistan's sovereignty if necessary. But at least another president might have been willing to negotiate with the Taliban to get bin Laden. Bush refused completely to so, even a little bit, despite Taliban offers.
"Flushed out the killers" has a bit of truth in it, though I note that bin Laden is still out there and the real perpetrators of 9/11 died on September 11, 2003. But "warned us of their existence" is so far out there that you simply have to be one of those misguided folks who think Bush is some kind of messiah.
"
WilliB, you seem to have lost the plot. The government of Pakistan was the target, I will bet it has something to do with being a western ally.
"
Of course the government of Pakistan is a target, and of course the suicide bombings will stop once all of Pakistan is a Taliban state with complete Shariah.
And the way things are going, that will eventually happen.
What is your point?

That was done by followers of Sheik Omar Abdel-Rahman, a blind cleric who was preaching the religion of peace in the USA.
Afghanistan has nothing to do with it, the suras which call for the believers to hate and attack the infidels whereever possible were preached right there in the US.
Thanks for underlining who foolish it is to pin terrorism on Al Quaida, which is just one of countless jihadist organizations.
He was waaaaay ahead of the curve. He had a room mate in New York who was a Pakistani national. So I think we can safely say He understands their problems. We all know attacks like these will cease when he is finally elected.
me of the time when the Iraqi's fired a rocket at the popular hotel in Baghdad that then U.S. Secretary of State, Paul Wolfowitz was staying in. They missed killing him by one floor. Too bad. Still, it goes to show that you can never completely trust the natives are not part of the local insurgency.
Wishing a murder on someone shows your mentality, and makes any conversation you try to have pointless and feeble. Why on earth would you say such stupid things? I would hope the mods would talk to you about that kind of thing..
I am very very sad to have read the above news and the news that the Czech Ambassador Ivo Zdarek was killed in the blast. Ambassador Ivo Zdarek was a good man. He did not deserve to die. The people whom are truly behind what had happen in the JW Marriot Hotel in Pakistan will face whats coming to them. Maybe not today, maybe not today but one day when they least expect it, judgment will come and it will come swift and cold.
I don't think Bush warned the world of Al-Qaida's existence. I think the outgoing Clinton administration warned the incoming Bush administration of Al-Qaida's existence and intent.
While this particular bombing is bigger in scale than many others, the violence itself predates anything that Bush could have warned us about.

More from the religion of peace in Pakistan. And the US and EU will continue to claim that the islamic republic of Pakistan is an "ally".

Barack traveled to Pakistan in 1981 when it was in great turmoil.
