China features prominently in the rhetoric of presumed Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, who accuses the country of stealing American jobs

That's why Trump had all his Macy's goods made there and still has all his campaign junk made in China.

That's why Trump had all his Macy's goods made there and still has all his campaign junk made in China.

Apples and oranges. Of course these days you can't get anything that pretty much isn't made in China, doesn't excuse the fact that they manipulate their currency and that it has cost millions of jobs not only in America, but globally and it doesn't mean, we shouldn't confront China or NOT allow them to take advantage of us, economically and socially.

"In his campaign kickoff on Tuesday, Donald Trump blasted cheap Chinese goods — but he has no problem putting his name on them and selling them."

"The day after his tirade, the Trump Store inside the Trump Tower on Fifth Avenue in New York boasted an array of imported goods, including teddy bears and T-shirts from China"

source: "Donald Trump Sells Chinese Goods Despite Accusing China of Stealing US Jobs"

Donald J. Trump, fraud, liar, bigot claims he'll make China pay to makes jobs in America. Who does Trump think he's kidding? The racists who eat up his lies as long as Trump lets them beat up protesters at Trump Loyalty Rallies.

"Trump “could in fact be the best president for China,” Hong Kong Phoenix Television political commentator Wu Jun said during a recent on-air discussion." - article*

@kc: check Products you bought in Macy, I did. They have Chinese company names and undeeerneath, made in USA.

Just like Toyota use its brand name Toyota in Japanese but made in USA.

2 ( +4 / -2 )

Trump is not a dictator or socialist and he is not an authoritarian. He is showing the people's will can trump authoritarian governments. Only a socialist would think that's a bad thing and the Chinese have it right.

-5 ( +5 / -10 )

This was an interesting read. Trump hasn't draw much "strong reaction" in Japan. The Chinese might like him, the Japanese hate him . . . wonder why that is-

0 ( +3 / -3 )

Trump card helps none but his own pocket! Growing up in A Rich man's house and got his way at all times! It's a shame that Noisy Dog's like behavior does not friends with American Allies!????

0 ( +3 / -3 )

“That’s because the Republican Party is more practical and Trump is a businessman who puts his commercial interests above everything else,”

The Chinese like him because he's a buffoon.

6 ( +8 / -2 )

@wc, first you say Trump does not get a strong reaction in Japan, then you say Japanese people hate Trump. Can you clarify which one you meant? Try to include a reference to Trump being forever stuck in the 1980s trade wars in his comments about Japan.

Last I checked Trumps campaign wares were made in USA. China has been profiting quite nicely off the global consumers. Greedy corporations are responsible for the shift into China. Over regulation starts them looking high tax rates have them seriously considering and increased profit potential has them build a plant in China.

-1 ( +3 / -4 )

Macy ... It is just a department store that only handle cheapest merchandise.

Trump was not born rich. His father was just a real estate business man. He built his business on his own. That is why he wants people to believe he is a billionaire.

-4 ( +2 / -6 )

Chinese steel USA imports just hit with a 500%+ tariff.

BINGO!

You mentioned high taxes, a liberals favorite word and bread and butter.

-9 ( +2 / -11 )

Yup, Toshiko, Trump was born in a hovel down by the railyards and had to fill sacks of coal to earn his keep. Now give us the unknown stories behind all his draft deferments and marriages for a few more laughs.

Opening his tax returns would be another way to see just how much of a success or tax cheat he is. Not holding my breath on that one.

"Trump, though, does seem to have won some Chinese supporters, particularly online. There, chat groups such as “Donald Trump Super Fans Club” and “God Emperor Trump” have popped up in recent months. One posting in a Weibo messaging service chat group was unrestrained in its enthusiasm.

“The more I know about Donald Trump,” it said, “the more I feel that he’s not only saving the U.S., but also the entire world.”

Har!

Trump had the new fund raising. He collected quite many million dollars in 72 hours. As for Dem, Sanders and Clinton are competing hard. Feinstein wants both candidates to work toward defeating Trumps more than fighting each other. And both are not fighting. Both ignore Libertarian so far. I think Trump against Clinton in Nov.

2 ( +3 / -1 )

@wc, first you say Trump does not get a strong reaction in Japan, then you say Japanese people hate Trump. Can you clarify which one you meant?

The not-so-"strong reaction" was in reference to ordinary Japanese who've yet to be so outspoken, publicly, in their disapproval of Trump.

They just see this rich American tycoon, telling it like it is, and they're offended. Then the rest of the Japanese just jump on the bandwagon saying, "I don't like Trump." The Japanese should stop hiding behind the US flag all the time. Both Trump & the Chinese KNOW this.

When Hillary has lost USA Today and the Washington Post it is clearly the Democrats publicly indicting her now.

There is nothing ambiguous or delicately-worded about it.The editorial flat-out says she didn’t act as any responsible official should - and she and her campaign have to take this as a show of no confidence in her.

She has to be through, and thinking of all the reasons Democrats have for putting an end to her candidacy, and coming up with someone else, there’s just no reason for them to hang onto her and go down defending her.

It actually suggests she might have broken the law a number of times. It says she should speak up to clear the air, but that then again perhaps keeping silence since she is under potential criminal investigation might be wiser for her to do. So it suggests she might be exercising her Fifth Amendment rights by her silence. That’s not just about “rule-breaking.”

Well, Trump has said some negative things about Japan (Chinese like this) relating to the economy only. What many Japanese and "others" fail to understand is that this is just campaign rhetoric. So when NHK or JT write about what Trump said, they take it sincerely. So, I guess the Japanese take whet THEIR politicians say, sincerely, which explains a lot about politics in Japan as well.

-4 ( +1 / -5 )

@wc, thanks for the reply and not pointing the finger at your favorite bogeyman SEALD yet again. So does Trump really want to rip up the 7 decade alliance with Japan, or is that just a fake out to get a few more votes as FizzBit says. Trump said bashing McCain was fine because it resulted in a 7% bump in his polls, so can we expect the same rationale for a long boring summer of Japan bashing by Trump?

2 ( +3 / -1 )

Many customers who buy Trump's properties were Chinese. I am sure Mr Trump understood this.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

So does Trump really want to rip up the 7 decade alliance with Japan

I don't know? But if he does, the Japanese need to man-up. Something of a new concept for all those rainbow-unicorn SEALD's. The alliance with Japan is lopsided. The Chinese KNOW this too.

Do you think Trump gives a toss about the Senkakus? Heck no-

-5 ( +0 / -5 )

Obviously the alliance is lopsided. On one side you have the world's most powerful and expensive military, on the other an officially constitutionally pacifist country. Rainbows and unicorns optional.

Maybe Trump should start giving a toss and reading up about senstive geopolitical disputes around the world. It is kind of important for his dream job. Otherwise he is going to get Secretary of State Palin in some very hot water.

5 ( +6 / -1 )

Maybe Trump should start giving a toss

No. Japan administers those islands. Let Japan & Japan alone defend them. China salivates for that scenario, whereas Tokyo politicians hide behind the US flag.

on the other an officially constitutionally pacifist country

Its up to Japan to change their constitution, or remain a US protectorate for another 70 years. The Okinawans have made it very clear. We should respect their wishes.

-4 ( +0 / -4 )

Trump was so poor as a child, he only had one limousine driver to take him to his daily rag picking employment.

Instead of getting a regular allowance from his poor dad, he had to settle for million dollar loans, to be repaid at 26% interest in 100 monthly installments.

Since his father refused to rent to black people, Trump got so angry about the corrupt real estate world that he cut all ties and... inherited his dad's real estate business.

Trump single handedly paid more taxes than many small nations. That is common knowledge because of his completely transparent openness with his tax returns, something never encountered before in American politics.

A bogus biography for a fake candidate.

4 ( +5 / -1 )

"The Chinese public, meanwhile, seems unfazed by Trump’s anti-immigration stance, with its overwhelming focus on Mexico, and the candidate’s vow to bar Muslims from entering the U.S."

Not a surprise. I was shocked by the racism from many Chinese when I was there. It rivaled the third world, GOP voting states in the US on that score.

1 ( +3 / -2 )

@Torafusa: you are writing that younare very jealous on whatever Twisted lie about Trump.

-2 ( +1 / -3 )

Nope, just a little political parody. Sorry if it didn't tickle your funny bone. I will try to throw in some Vegas lounge act punchlines next time if that would resonate better. You into Dean Martin?

2 ( +2 / -0 )

Sorry if it didn't tickle your funny bone.

Obviously I tickled ur funny bone. I was talking about the parody of Japan hiding behind the US flag, but you changed the subject by bashing Trump.

This was an interesting read. Trump hasn't draw much "strong reaction" in Japan. The Chinese might like him, the Japanese hate him . . . wonder why that is-

Simple. Japan doesn't like Trump because his agenda is not tailored to Japan's needs.

On one side you have the world's most powerful and expensive military, on the other an officially constitutionally pacifist country.

So basically, what ur saying is Japan needs the US more than the US needs Japan. The Chinese KNOW this. Okinawa doesn't want the US. If the bases are closed Japan will have to bear the burden on its own.

Put that in ur pipe and smoke it.

-2 ( +0 / -2 )

@torafusa: so you did not know Martin was dead a long time ago. Only his memory is a street named after him. You missed Caesars show a long time ago? They never played in free shows in Caesar's lounge. Theirs were very expensive in Caesar's theater.

-1 ( +1 / -2 )

They never played in free shows in Caesar's lounge. Theirs were very expensive in Caesar's theater.

19-yrs old SEALD's kids know absolutely NOTHING about Las Vegas. They can barely play pachinko. Let alone argue about how some Chinese people dig Trump a little.

-2 ( +0 / -2 )

Japan hiding behind the US flag? That is a pretty undiplomatic way to talk about serious defense agreements, but you must like the sound of it so much you since you keep repeating it to yourself.

Who was it that spouted the slogan that Japan should show the flag, Dick Armitage? That roused the citizenry like a lead balloon. Another day another head scratcher from the ragtag neocons.

3 ( +3 / -0 )

Japan hiding behind the US flag? That is a pretty undiplomatic way to talk about serious defense agreements, but you must like the sound of it so much you since you keep repeating it to yourself.

If Japan "wore" this shoe . . . then I'd shut up.

Another day another head scratcher from the ragtag neocons.

And most likely . . . another decade or two or another 70 years of freeloading off of the US' umbrella. China KNOWS this. Get with the program.

-3 ( +0 / -3 )

Not a surprise. I was shocked by the racism from many Chinese when I was there. It rivaled the third world, GOP voting states in the US on that score

Can't be worse than all of the blue racist states, the racism is off the charts.

Simple. Japan doesn't like Trump because his agenda is not tailored to Japan's needs

As if that a bad thing.

So basically, what ur saying is Japan needs the US more than the US needs Japan. The Chinese KNOW this. Okinawa doesn't want the US. If the bases are closed Japan will have to bear the burden on its own.

You hit the. All on the head, that's exactly what's at play here.

-4 ( +1 / -5 )

Or Chinese laundromats..........(I dunno if anyone gets this reference).

Japanese attitude toward Trump. Majority loved Trump when he said bring US Troops out from Japan. Later Trump backed when he found Japan pay several billion dollars a year to let USA stay in Japan.

-1 ( +1 / -2 )

People who disagree with Mr. Trump either have their own jaded agenda or have not heard him speak, listening instead to distorted and out-of-context sound bites. Many have done similarly to past GOP nominees.

-2 ( +0 / -2 )

@Jason. Some of people who disagree Trump are called habitual Trump basher. Ignore them. They write same Trump bashing statements in everywhere all day long to turn Trump critics turn to Trump supporters.

Actually, Donald J. Trump has run a racist campaign in his FOXNews sponsored "birther" attack on President Obama's skin color for five years. Now, it is no surprise a mock Asian fraud and dummy posters are telling readers to ignore what Trump has said and his actions that promote hate and prejudice.

Too bad these operatives can't control the world, Trump would pay them well. Instead they cry-baby the same old tired contradictions while cheering hate. Americans aren't nearly as stupid as Trump needs them to be even given these bigot lovers.

Cleveland will likely close their city to Trump as the cost of his hateful racism will tear the city to the ground and they have only the RNC to thank for the destruction Trump white supremacists and KKK members are ready to deliver. Why not? Trump told the world he wanted riots if the GOP-tea didn't give the bigot billionaire a platform to preach hate from.

"Trump’s questioning of U.S. foreign military commitments is also sweet music to the ears of Chinese nationalists who want China to be top dog in Asia and challenge U.S. dominance in the rest of the world. His opposition to the Trans-Pacific Partnership trade deal, which seeks to offset Chinese influence, also goes down well in Beijing." - article

Trump is a disaster in his campaign and the Chinese are licking their chops that an idiot will occupy the White House. Trump cheered the Chinese crackdown at the Tiananmen Square protests of 1989 claiming military control of protest was what Americans should emulate. Disgusting.

All that anti-white reverse racism, right?

Trump Federal judge in San Diego gave judgment million dollars he collected for veterans against him and Trump is barking against Judge,

Before that, he had media asking questioned 5.6 million dollars he claimed, who roc'd and where is money and meeting became in chaos. pretty soon Clinton will speak on CNN.. Rubio is behaving like he will be eelecred as Presidential candidate at convention.

My guess. Next Tuesday, Clinton will win Dem candidate. Sanders will not give up. Hope Clinton ignore Trump. The way Trump insulted. entire media,, she does not have to quarrel about Trump. Clink has minority behind her.

Perhaps this comment is suggesting the Chinese would have a different way of handling Donald J. Trump's frauds.

“Politics is not entertainment and simply being fresh may not be a good thing,” Kong said. “A lack of political experience and an excess of personality may lead to an imbalance among interest groups and an abuse of authority, which are not good things for America.” - article

Shanghai IT engineer Kong Kong, from the article, certainly has a more precise impression of Trump's failures than the comments from faux Asian commenters.

-1 ( +1 / -2 )

Actually, Donald J. Trump has run a racist campaign in his FOXNews sponsored "birther" attack on President Obama's skin color for five years.

So because Obama was questioned about the legality of his citizenship makes him a racist, but when this guy makes a remark that conservatives cling to their guns and religion isn't or at the very least stereotyping?

Now, it is no surprise a mock Asian fraud and dummy posters are telling readers to ignore what Trump has said and his actions that promote hate and prejudice.

Criticizing the economical trade tactics that the Chinese use to steal and manipulate the economy, that's not stealing or cheating? What is up with you libs and desperately trying to use race as a constant narrative all the time?

Too bad these operatives can't control the world, Trump would pay them well. Instead they cry-baby the same old tired contradictions while cheering hate. Americans aren't nearly as stupid as Trump needs them to be even given these bigot lovers.

Then they wouldn't be voting in mass numbers for him.

Doubt it. If California didn't do it, that means Cleveland won't as well.

"Trump’s questioning of U.S. foreign military commitments is also sweet music to the ears of Chinese nationalists who want China to be top dog in Asia and challenge U.S. dominance in the rest of the world. Because Americans didn't see ANY benefit from it.

Trump is a disaster in his campaign and the Chinese are licking their chops that an idiot will occupy the White House. Trump cheered the Chinese crackdown at the Tiananmen Square protests of 1989 claiming military control of protest was what Americans should emulate. Disgusting.

Hey, they've been licking their chops for the last 8 years when the idiot in chief essentially made it easy for the Chinese own everything, not to mention as the spender president, the man could care less if he destroyed our economy or racks up more debt that we can't pay off, keeping us on the Chinese nipple for years to come, printing more money and taking less in. But thank God, November is on the horizon and salvation is coming!

kcjapanJUN. 01, 2016 - 06:49AM JSTShanghai IT engineer Kong Kong, from the article, certainly has a more precise impression of Trump's failures than the comments from faux Asian commenters.

I agree with Mr. Trump than King Kong. Trump's view is that the bilateral trade imbalance between the U.S. and China is not sustainable. China should shift from export-led growth, increase its exchange rate flexibility, and open its markets more. There are concerns and deep structural issues that must be addressed. Growth predicated on ever increasing Chinese exports being consumed by debt-laden Americans provided years of prosperity, but it also planted some of the seeds for current economic problems.
