"Trump was asked whether abortions should be illegal and whether women should be punished for having them if they are. His answer that “there has to be some form of punishment” - article

Looking at the Trump thumpers, all of these facts just make them more sure someone is pulling the wool over their eyes. For the thumper, any complaint is treason, that is why beating a woman and being arrested for it doesn't hurt Trump's brand.

"Brand Values: The Trump brand values are crystal clear. Elitism. Intolerance. Entitlement. Divisiveness. Hatred. There is not a speech, debate or tweet he has engaged in that doesn't make it clear that Donald Trump genuinely embodies these values. He brings them to life with every word he speaks and action he takes. He's true to his values."

So, business genius Trump went with Elitism. Intolerance. Entitlement. Divisiveness. Hatred.

That's hard to top even in Communist inspired regimes. Trump takes to it so easily Trump is likely an accident of birth in the wrong country, just like those he detests so frequently to the cheers of dim wits.

The reporter will need to be sued unless she openly retracts her sworn statements and assorted video proof showing she assaulted Mr Trump, his staff, and Federal Secret Service Agents sworn to protect Mr Trump. She needs to be charged Federally and pay for any damages acrued.

@badsey3

she assaulted Mr Trump

You might want to look into the idea of implied consent when it comes to battery. Touching someone on the arm or shoulder to get their attention doesn't usually amount to a crime. It's the type of conduct that everyone is taken to have implicitly consented to by being out in a public place. For example, you can't get onto a crowded train in Tokyo and sue everyone who taps you on the shoulder or bumps into you as they get on or off, because you've consented to all the normal types of touching that go along with that sort of activity. On the otherhand, being unexpectedly pulled and pushed in public is clearly not something anyone consents to, either explicitly or implicitly. That's why the Trump aid has been charged but the reporter has not.

"her sworn statements and assorted video proof" are what drove the Jupiter Police to arrest "Lewandowski was charged with simple battery"

All the messy facts are what Trump and his chanting followers have in common, ignorance.

Ha! We'll soon see how much loyalty he has to his erstwhile party, the GOP.

in criminal case,, DA handle cases. She does not have to sue. Florida is same.

"But when our elected officials and our political campaign become entirely untethered to reason and facts and analysis, when it doesn't matter what's true and what's not, that makes it all but impossible for us to make good decisions on behalf of future generations,"

"(President Obama) told a journalism awards dinner Monday night. "It threatens the values of respect and tolerance that we teach our children and that are the source of America's strength. It frays the habits of the heart that underpin any civilized society – because how we operate is not just based on laws, it's based on habits and customs and restraint and respect. It creates this vacuum where baseless assertions go unchallenged, and evidence is optional. And as we're seeing, it allows hostility in one corner of our politics to infect our broader society. And that, in turn, tarnishes the American brand."

"So, yes, what's going on, largely but not exclusively with Trump, is rather remarkable. The half-truths and outright lies. The bullying. The tenuous grasp of larger geo-political realities. The low-rent aides de camp. The inability of many in the media to adequately press Trump."

James Warren - U.S. News & World Report - Wednesday, March 30, 2016

"There can be little doubt about why the rest of the world thinks we're nuts.'

Loyalty is not what Donald J. Trump is selling.

Playing man of principle is a comedy few can top, but when you're Trump?

The con is the show.

"The inability of many in the media to adequately press Trump" is the most crippling of the blows to Democracy the GOP/Tea has wielded.

http://usgovinfo.about.com/library/ref/blssprotect.htm

(d) Whoever knowingly and willfully obstructs , resists , or "interferes" with a Federal law enforcement agent engaged in the performance of the protective functions authorized by this section or by section 1752 of this title shall be fined not more than $1,000 or imprisoned not more than one year, or both.

That is the law in reference to the Secret Service. She openly broke that law. = these "reporters" are now allowed to touch Secret Service agents.

Question: This is a laughable offense. It's a misdemeanor and best and I pray, really pray this goes to a jury, it's an open and shut case, they will laugh at this until their backs break. How are you going to prove a light shove as being a brutal and vicious violent attack? How will you prove that Lewandowski was intentional in his actions? Liberals are too hilarious. But this just takes the cake.

You might want to look into the idea of implied consent when it comes to battery. Touching someone on the arm or shoulder to get their attention doesn't usually amount to a crime. It's the type of conduct that everyone is taken to have implicitly consented to by being out in a public place. Excellent point. Based on that point, everyone could sue you for brushing by them, but when you look at all the candidates. Do you think you could get near Hillary? I tell you what, get near her, man or woman and you will be pushed back or pummeled down, there is NO WAY on Earth that they would let you get close. Go on Youtube and you can see Umma pushing a person back that was getting too close to Hillary. When Obama was campaigning, I remember when Bill O'Reilly tried to talk to the then Senator Obama, he was pushed aside and Bill had a confrontation with the guy pushing him and blocking his video shot. Did he sue? Of course not and he was seriously manhandled. This is a total witch hunt, nothing more.

On the otherhand, being unexpectedly pulled and pushed in public is clearly not something anyone consents to, either explicitly or implicitly. That's why the Trump aid has been charged but the reporter has not.

I agree.

"The inability of many in the media to adequately press Trump" is the most crippling of the blows to Democracy the GOP/Tea has wielded.

At this point, People really don't care what Obama is saying or thinking, he's a lame duck president and at this point, when he talks it's just all garrulous babble from here on out until November, thankfully.

Yes, a good battery makes everyone laugh.

This was more a protection of a presidential candidate. Secret Service personnel would have done the same thing. IF this case does go to court, and it won't Lewandowski has nothing to worry about.

By the way, Hillary's finger in the face of a legitimate question with her rage was much more undeserving than was what Trump has done. Probable the liberal 'head in the sand' hasn't seen that video. She was the devil woman!

Hardly, the Jupiter, Florida Police Department pursued the arrest and charge.

Let it go.

An out of control battery suspect gets a plink from Trump?

It wouldn't be the first time some lower class loser got the boot from Trump.

boo hoo. "You're Fired!' Why cry baby now? Is it Love?

1 ( +2 / -1 )

Yes, a good battery makes everyone laugh.

Kc, where was the woman battered? Please show me. Where was she so bludgeoned that she couldn't get up? My wife bruises easily when you literally tap her, some people are like that, so does that equate to violence? You guys know within your hearts, this thing will be laughed at in a court, provided they can even bring it to a jury.

An out of control battery suspect gets a plink from Trump?

I'll give you this, I think Lewandowski is a vile individual, equally as rabid as Rahm Emanuel, almost the same snobbish and bully type jerks, but having said that, I this thing is going to go nowhere and Trump will have the last laugh as anyone else would to even try and bring charges on this where there was nothing.

Trump has many campaign workers. His this attitude, I think any employers can copy. He has other problems but he is not going to throw out his workers.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

He has other problems but he is not going to throw out his workers.

Given his history of continually contradicting himself I think he'll throw him to the wolves if the story looks like it's going ti play out badly.

@Simon: I did research on Trump Hotel in Las Vegas. His employees are instigated by Culllinary Union tobe unionized and once in a while do ddemonstration so easy to interview. Union due is the income of Unions so.It has about 2000 employees. Despite of bad publicity, Trump Hotel hasn't fired anyone, not even instigators. Do you have any data in Trump business employment firing in other states to claim Trump fire his employees?

This is a waste of time over nothing. The media would be better served introducing the US to Ted Cruz. All the focus on Trump doesn't leave much time to talk about how much of a nutter Cruz is.

@badsey3

OK, I see what you're getting at but that's quite a stretch if you don't mind me saying! From all the videos that I've seen the secret service didn't seem to be 'interfered' with in any reasonable definition of that word. It would be almost impossible for anyone to come to the conclusion that they were.

I agree that this isn't the most serious case of battery but I hope you'll agree that as long as battery remains a crime the district attorney can't just decide which laws to enforce and which to ignore.

Casino Mussolini knows no shame - in TrumpWorld, even bad press is good press. How did such an incorrigibly ignorant, angry, petulant, needy, infantile narcissist ever become a presidential candidate? Maybe because he embodies many of the same personality traits as his supporters?

2 ( +3 / -1 )

Thug supports thug. He is/will a presidential candidate - America, you should be ashamed.

1 ( +2 / -1 )

If Hillary can somehow avoid being indicted for the security breaches she's guilty of, it will be an electoral landslide win for her no matter who the Republicans nominate.

@Serrano: Hillary e-mail case is in final stage. FBI will interview (not interrogation) In this guy's case, criminally accused. Nothing against Hillary and not sorry to this guy but I think small fries in USA does not have fair chance. But at least this guy get his boss's support. It is local in this case but ...

Hillary is starting to fall a little behind in popularity to Bernie. = They have her out smiling and shaking hands. A very dangerous situation for a possible future President to be in. That situation rose out of the New Hampshire primary where it was very anti-energy (keep the oil in the ground etc). Hillary said a few positive green energy things and GreenPeace sort of went with that publically. -Now Hillary has changed (+takes big energy/oil money) -so they were upset at her.

People (and reporters) have this bizarre unhealthy mentality that they can aggressively go up to these leaders or future leaders and just get in their face for a YouTube or Twitter promo. What is even worse is that media and people promote this sort of activity.

-1 ( +1 / -2 )

Despite of bad publicity, Trump Hotel hasn't fired anyone, not even instigators. Do you have any data in Trump business employment firing in other states to claim Trump fire his employees?

Oh, this is purely hypothetical - lose the nomination or the campaign manager. Which one do you think he would opt for?

1 ( +1 / -0 )

If Hillary can somehow avoid being indicted for the security breaches she's guilty of...

Wonderful, Serrano! Not only have you determined her guilt, you've alluded to the vast, unmitigated damage her wanton disregard for secrecy has wrought on an unsuspecting American public. For example, - well, perhaps you could provide one. One? Please?

Bernie would win against any GOP candidate at this point. Heck, Gerry Brown is likely regretting not patching things up with Linda Ronstadt and finally moving to the Big House. The Dems at this point could run a potato and win.

It's probably best not to do any soul-searching as to why your party has come to this sorry state and instead denigrate Hillary. It'll be good practice for the next eight years.

How did such an incorrigibly ignorant, angry, petulant, needy, infantile narcissist ever become a presidential candidate?

He was nominated by his party, twice. And to make it worse he was elected.

-3 ( +0 / -3 )

In public, Trump is standing behind Lewandowski, but behind the scenes his role in the campaign is shrinking.

http://www.politico.com/story/2016/04/donald-trump-corey-lewandowski-shrinking-role-campaign-221487

Trump has three requirements for his corporate employees:

<><> don't lie to him

<><> don't embarrass him

<><> don't steal from him

I would imagine he/s bringing some of that to his campaign.

-2 ( +0 / -2 )

His other employees are complaining about this campaign manager,

He detracted his abortion statements

He will have rallies in WI very soon.

GOP slogans Never Trump now .
