The fighting has created a new flow of refugees. A Turkish disaster agency said more than 3,600 Turkmens and Arabs fleeing advancing pro-government forces in northern Latakia province had crossed into Turkey in the past four days.

Why aren't these "Arabs" being taking in by the rich gulf nations? Surely it wouldn't do any harm for Bahrain, UAE, Saudi and Qatar to accept a few of these refugees.

Peace talks BS . . . there are so many groups fighting that some kind of peace treaty is impossible . . . they are not even close.

I can see that, but why? The pope is always going around "preaching" to other countries and peoples how to be compassionate towards others.

I thought Islam preaches ideas like "peace", "love" and being merciful too? So its not so unreasonable to expect places like Saudi Arabia (the cradle of Islam) to host a few thousand or so refugees. Heck, at least shelter a few who might be Sunnis.

Nope. But that doesn't change the fact that they're not doing it, and don't appear to have any intention of doing so.

The "Syrian Observatory for Human Rights" is NOT a "group," it's one guy in a house in Coventry, and his information is notoriously unreliable.

It is not "unreliable" in the sense that it is consistently anti-Assad/anti Alavite and pro-Sunni aka pro ISIS.

The guy is a Sunni activist who is working to spread anti-Assad propaganda. The media should be honest enough to point out the nature of their source.
