Assad does have quite a lot of support in Syria and members of the US government don't seem to like this. Assad seems more popular in Syria than Obama in US.

The things I find most repulsive are the actions of the western-backed terrorists (mostly foreigners) and the hypocrisy spewing out of the US government and media.

Comparing the popularity of a man like Assad, a dictator who kills his own people and president Obama, elected in free elections, who does not send his troops around the nation to exterminate those who disagree with his policies, seems a little skewed, to put it mildly. But I'm afraid I'm wasting my time here.

What I find most repulsive is the killing of unarmed civilians by those who think they have a right to do so. And the ones who deny it and attempt to cover it up. 100,000 people dead. Or are the UN making this up too?

100,000 people dead.

Yeah, but killed by whom?

The west together with shining examples of democracy like Saudi Arabia are arming, funding, backing a group of terrorists, the vast majority of whom are not Syrian. What do you expect Assad to do?

When this crisis started, just hours before the UN was meeting to discuss Syria, Assad allegedly sent out snipers to kill innocent civilians; or at least that is what the MSM claimed. Did you actually believe those claims, or the unfounded claims that the Syrian government used poison gas?

Assad IS more popular; goes to show you how low Obama sank. At least Assad does not send his troops and drones around the world to exterminate those who disagree with his policies.
