So it was an Israeli operative? Don't get involved America. It's time to bring everyone home and focus on the domestic issues. Being the world-cop has brought nothing but misery and debt.

I believe the US government says the truth. Obama would not try to kill Iranian nuclear engineers trying to build Allahs bomb. He is busy enough picking off assorted random villagers around the world by remote controlled drones.

If I had to guess, I would say its most likely Mossad. But based on how incompetent some of their operations have been recently, I wonder. The CIA is a bogeyman, but the US doesn't do assassinations. Or at least not like this. The most it does is send in drones to blow people up, not car bombs. It also makes it clear they were the ones responsible. Honestly, at this point, I'm leaning towards the Russians. They are much better known for assassinating people, and seeing as Iran is a near neighbor, they don't want to see them going nuclear either. They also have a reputation for competence and effectiveness.

Of course its all conjecture. Could be CIA, Mossad, the GRU. Heck, it could be an internal Iranian faction, or Pakistans ISI.

Wouldn't that be the "least" US does. What they do at most, is something, someone from japan would know better about.

Maybe the liquidating is being done by the Hidden Imam himself, fed up with having his centuries-long siesta at the bottom of his sacred well interrupted by the parades, the nuke tests, the general lunacy in Iran.

I agree with Molenir, I'm sure if the CIA wanted to carry out an assassination it would have been made to look more like an "accident" like a heart attack or car accident etc. This might not even be mossad, but some other Arab nation that doesn't want Iran to be nuclear armed. Its just so easy to blame Israel and the US so if it was some other nation they'll never be found out because of the typical Iranian scapegoating propaganda.
